Dedicated to:SydneyKaras thanks for voting on my story love. It means a lot.
Song above just makes me cry and writing in Drew's POV makes me cry. Okay I will stop being a cry baby for you all but it's just sad that I cry. And this is the song that Austin (Drew's best friend) and Drew sing.
How cute is the gif of Drew below. I love that vlog so much and I will probably use little bits of it during the trailer if I make one. Haha
Don't forget to vote/comment/share and I love you all that read this and everything. You are getting me one step closer to making my dream come true!!!
Chapter Fourteen.
Drew's POV
When I remember Austin's funeral it takes me to the time that he sang at his bonfire.
Austin was a great singer even though it wasn't his passion.
I brought my guitar and he sang to the song I was playing.
I don't know why this happens but whenever someone just talks about his death. It instantly brings me to the moment of his funeral and then that brings me to the memory of him singing at his bonfire before we went into our senior year.
"Oh my gosh it's cold outside," Austin says as he rubs his hands together. I shake my head. He looks at me and blows on his hands.
"What?" he asks taking his hands away from his mouth, "I am trying to get warm."
"Go sit by the fire, bro," I tell him and pick up my guitar case, "I think I might as well."
I look around at the nice get together Austin has put on. It was really nice of him because he invited everyone. Austin is that nice. I wouldn't allow everyone at my party because there is just some people who are just terrible. But a lot of people are here and as I look at my guitar I actually reconsider playing it.
I look at Austin and he nods. He pats the spot next to him. I blink my eyes because I am not sure if I really want to do it or not because there is at least a hundred people here.
"Come on. Are you going to play that thing or what?" a girl asks me. I look at her and smile at her. I look back at Austin and he nods.
I take my seat next to him and take my guitar out of its case. I nod at him back and put my guitar onto my lap. I make sure the strap is out of the way and then start doing the intro to Hear you me by Jimmy Eat World. All of the suddenly I hear someone make a beat. It sounds perfect and I see a guy siting across from me tapping on his chair for a drum. I nod at him and smile. I focus back on the intro and try to make it sound right even though I am only playing by ear. I don't know what the chords of the song officially are so hopefully no one notices.
Right when I was going to sing I hear Austin singing right next to me. His voice was soft but sweet. I never knew he could sing but here he was singing and focusing his heart on the song.
