Lian's POV"Just a 2 months from now and it's already our graduation!!!" Mics exclaimed.
"I know I'm so excited!!!" Julie clasp her hands together almost crying. I just chuckled at their reaction. These two. I shook my head still laughing at them.
I noticed someone staring. But I already know who it was though. I look at the far side table near the exit. Alexander was staring at me. When our eyes met, he immediately look away as if he was not just caught staring my way.
It's been almost 3 weeks already since that event. We became busy since our graduation is coming. Whenever we're on the same place, I always noticed him staring at me. But just like what happened now, he would look away if he would notice me looking back also.
I just sigh then continued eating my meal. It has a bit of vegetables in it. Pain struck through me as I remembered how we used to eat together. He would really make me eat this vegetables.
I put the vegetables on the side, and waited for a moment. Hoping that he would scold me again for not eating these veggies. But no. Like this past few weeks. We never stumbled with each other anymore. I hate this. Why do people always leave me?
I guess I'm at fault too. But what he said in that cafe really did hurt a lot than I expected. If I still stick with him. I might really fall for him and It will definitely be a one-sided feeling.
"So that's it. Thank you so much for your help Lian." Ella holds my hand. She's one of my batch mate and we're on the same firm also. I gave her an outline of the report since she's absent yesterday.
"It's nothing. Just don't forget to past it as soon as possible since our head is really cranky." I waved at her. She continued thanking me until we decided to go home.
I exited the auditorium and seeing the heavy rain on the field surprised me. Damn it. I didn't even brought my car.
While walking on the corridor. I look at my side. The glass windows of the corridor is a bit fuzzy but I could still identify a figure on the field. I stopped walking as I went near the windows.
Someone is in the soccer field's bench. I think it's a guy, based on his physique. I squinted my eyes. I couldn't see his face clearly since his head is facing up, looking at the sky as rain falls down on his face.
It's like the rain is comforting him whenever it falls down on him that's why he's looking above, waiting for it. I know how it felt. I'm a pluviophile also.
I started walking not minding whoever that guy is. He needs a time on his own I guess.
The next day I was a bit late. I'm a bit busy on the in coming graduation. It's already a month from now. Good thing i didn't catch a cold also. The driver of a taxi which is buying some snacks on the vending machine on the gate really did help me a lot.
"Excuse me. Lian?"
I look behind me and saw one of Alexander's friends. I think he's Jonathan?
"Yes? What is it?" I then turned to face him. He started walking closer. As he reached near me. He still keeps an appropriate distance between us. Alexander's friends has a common denominator. They are all tall and handsome. No wonder why girls flock their squad.
His dark disheveled hair made him playful. A pair of brown eyes which almost closed whenever he's smiling. His straight nose complement his manly face. He is also handsome but I'm more attracted to Alexander.
He look away as he noticed me observing him, then he scratch the back of his head as if contemplating what to say to me.
"Uhm.. I wanted to ask if you know where Zander is?" I furrowed my eyebrows. Why would he even ask me this? Can't he see that we're not that close anymore. It's been almost a month since that event.
"I'm sorry but I really don't know where he is right now, but if I see him, I'll tell you though." I just smiled at him trying to hide that sullen feeling creeping up. I don't want his friends to notice anything odd about us. It will just cause a misunderstanding impression.
"Oh. No, it's okay. I just thought that you might know where he is. He didn't even go to our structural project yesterday, and also he's not present earlier." Now that got my attention. I look at him. I'm getting worried now.
"What do you mean by that? So you're saying he's absent for two days already??" My voice rose a bit. He looked surprised at that. He then raised both his hands as if showing that he surrendered or something.
"R-relax we don't know what happened to him too. He wasn't answering his phone. So we thought you might know where he is." He said as he look at the side but nothing in particular, like he's in deep thought. I became quiet for a moment.
What happened to him. Can't he even call his friends? He's not answering his phone also. I'm really getting worried now. What if he got kidnapped. Damn it! God not that please. Negative thoughts now filled me.
"We will visit his place later after our shift. Sorry for bothering." He added as he noticed me still being quiet, then he started walking away after a while. But before I stopped him midway. I want to make sure that he's okay.
"Wait!" I called out. He did stopped walking and look at me over his shoulder, raising a brow. "Can I get his address please." I bit my lip. This is embarrassing. He must've think that it's weird that I don't know Alexander's address, add the fact that we're always together.
I don't know if I saw it right, but did he just smirk? What's funny? His friend is missing.
"Primea Towers. Just tell his name on the lobby" I just nod at him before he walked away.
Primea Towers. As expected in the students here in ESU. But Primea is definitely famous and highly expensive towers in here.
Then it hit me. We've been together for already a couple of months now and I don't even know that much of him! We're not even on a first name basis! I call him Smith. Not even once did I call him Alexander.
I let out a sigh. I'm so pathetic. Friends do call each other by their first name.
But something is more important now. I need to check on him. His friends are not that helpful also. They couldn't even contact him.
I'm going Primea Towers then.
Jonathan's POV
"So what did she say?" Nick chuckled while leaning back on the sofa.
They didn't expect that I would really approach Lian about Alexander's absents. We all know why he's been absent recently.
"You schumbag are you playing cupid now?" Ryan then joined the laughter.
We don't know what really happened to them. Because after that event in Benville they've been aloof with each other. I noticed how Alexander went back to being cold again after that. It's like the Alexander before he met Lian. The cold and unapproachable one. But we would always notice him looking at Lian though. We often wonder why he wouldn't even approach her.
"What if something really serious happened to them? Xan didn't even mention anything to us." Ryan then said after awhile.
"Of course he wouldn't tell us anything. Xan prefer it to be private." Drake then joined. Which made us agreed because. I hope they will return to what they were before.
