I can't rid off of what Harry had said to me that night where me, Sophia and the boys watched movies.
Today is the day before graduation and now we were passing our last requirements for the clearing of our grades.
I have no problem with my other subjects and I doubt that I will get held up in high school.
I could get a job after I got my degree for teaching and I will find the love of my life and we will get married and have a family of our own.
It was already lunch time and me and Sophie were walking down the halls to the Cafeteria.
Squeaking of sneakers were heard behind us and my name being called also.
I turned around and found a running Luke towards us. I raised my brows.
"Hey Luke. Why were you running?" I asked, hugging my books to me.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned to Sophia. She smiled and pointed her thumb on her back.
"I'll be seeing you at the Cafeteria, yeah?" I nodded, silently thanking her. She nodded and left, leaving me with a panting Luke in a deserted hallway.
"So, what's up? How was your holiday?" I asked, a smile on my face.
He grinned, "it was fine, but it'll be better if next time you'll be coming with me to our Lake house."
I scoffed, "pfft. Puhlease. I bet you didn't need me to be all happy for the last days of high school." I said to him as we walk to the Cafeteria.
"Yeah, I did have a good holiday without you." I gaped at him and pushed his shoulder, sending him stumbling.
"Hey! Those days you were complaining about all what you were doing there." I put my hands on my hips and made a face, "ugh. They were making me feed the squirrel and there isn't even a squirrel that I can get close to. Who does feed squirrels from their backyard?" I mocked him, with a man voice.
"I do not talk like that. And when did I tell you that?" He laughs.
"I didn't. I just made it up." I shrugged and looked at each other and started laughing.
"Oh my God. I missed this. I will miss this." I sighed. And he mumbled a 'yeah' back.
"What?" I looked at him.
"Auden. What will you say if I asked you to be my girlfriend?" He looked at me and I took a sharp intake of breath, caught off by the question.
Do I like Luke like that much?
Have I moved on from Harry?
I'm sure I haven't moved on from him.
What will I say? Do I say no? But if I said no then he will be hurt, but if I said yes then I will be lying to him and that's the first thing you need to have in a relationship and I can't have that kind with Luke.
Better say the truth than a lie right?
"Luke..." I looked at him, tears starting to form my eyes. He saw this and he frowned.
"I-I'm so sorry, Luke. I know you like me and I like you too, but I can't return of what you are giving me." I look away from him, can't stand seeing him hurt. I hated seeing anyone hurt. Physical or emotional.
"I-I'm so sorry. I thought I can move on from someone that I love by dating you, sure I have fun being with you, I like being with you, but being just friends, Luke." I told him, tears streaming down my face, staining my shirt.
I felt his calloused fingers underneath my chin, lifting it up to meet his eyes.
He has a frown on his face, but turned into a sad smile. I closed my eyes.
"I'm sorry, Luke. I'm sorry if I made you felt like I used you, but I don't want to lie to you that I want to be your girlfriend." I said, and he shook his head.
"It's okay. Thank you for not lying to me. But I would like it if you want to be just friends?" He suggested. And I widened my eyes.
"Are you kidding me?" He widened his eyes, like he made a huge mistake.
"Oh. Uh. It's okay if you don't want to be just friends, I mea-" I cut him off, hugging him.
"Of course, Luke! We could be friends or even mega best friends!" I exclaimed.
We laugh and I hugged him again. A sigh escaping his lips.
"I just wish you were my girlfriend." I pulled away slightly and narrowed my eyes at him.
"Luke..." I said in a warning tone. And he sheepishly smiled at me.
"I was just joking. I like this too." We hugged again, "Mega best friend." I giggled.
I pulled away, "we should go eat now. We only have 10 minutes til our next subject." He nodded and we made our way to the Cafeteria.
We pushed open the door and we parted our ways to our own seats as I wave at him.
I reached my table where Sophia was already there.
"Girl, what happened back there?" She asked.
"Luke asked me to be his girlfriend." I shrugged.
She widened her eyes, "what?!" She yelled. And I covered her mouth from saying it out loud.
"Geez. Soph. Keep it to yourself." She nodded and I let go.
"Well, what did you say?"
"I said 'no' " she furrowed her brows.
"What?!" She yelled again and I slapped her arm.
"Could you just keep quiet, woman!" I glared at her and she smiled sheepishly. I rolled my eyes.
"Sorry, but why did you say 'no'?" I shrugged again.
"Because I told him that I can't lie to him about my feelings and I don't want to be in a relationship that I could lie. And I still love, you know.." I trailed off.
"Who?" She teased. And I rolled my eyes.
"And I said we could just be friends, I mean, Mega best friends." I finished.
She frowned, "but I thought I was your Mega best friend?" I rolled my eyes.
"Well, you have to deal with it."

Fanfic"Harry..." He turned to me, a questioning look on his face. I never in a million years thought that I will do this. To him! I pushed him back on the bed and straddled him, a shock look on his face. "I want to touch your hair." I said. "Is that all...
