I couldn't sleep. Even if I screwed my eyes shut or even drink tea to relax, I just couldn't.

The thought of Harry returning to my life scares me. He could just get my daughter from me and make my life miserable enough to be called Hell.

I sighed, staring at the ceiling for a very long time.

"Babe?" Luke's voice called out. He shifted and put an arm around my waist, trying to comfort me.

"What's the matter?" He asked, his blue eyes looking at me with worry.

I shook my head, "I couldn't sleep."

He frowned, plopping on his elbow to look me down and his hand caressing my face.

"Why? What's bothering you?" Should I tell him that the father of my daughter has came back that is also my first love?

Yes, he was my first love, I admit I loved Harry, but he left. His departure has taken my heart with him and also has taken a part of my brother's.

Giving him a small smile, I said, "it's nothing. I love you, Luke. You don't know how much you've changed me, you helped me with Kathy, even if you aren't the father, I'm so thankful, Luke. I'm sorry for not accepting you before, I'm sorry..." I said, not taking my eyes off him.

He smiled and wiped my wet cheeks, I didn't even realize I was crying, till he wiped them away.

"It's okay, Auden. It just made me love you more, made me realize that we're not yet ready before then. And look at where we are now, here in each other's arms. And with Kathy, I wanted to. Makes me think about us in the future, having our own child and I couldn't stop thinking about us. You, Kathy, Me and our son or daughter, it doesn't matter. All it matters is I love you, since the day we were science partners." He told me, and now I can't stop the water works.

Before he even say another word, I kissed him with tears falling from my eyes, tasting them as they fall.

"I love you so much. It's making everything  unpredictable with you and I wanted to know them while I walk with you through it." He says between breaths after the kiss.

"I love you, Luke." I say, cuddling closer to him as we enter a world with things we still have yet to see.

I see Luke in our room, finding a shirt in only his skinny black jeans. His hair still wet from the shower earlier.

"Hey," I called out, walking in the room with a laundry basket full of Kathy's clothes.

He glanced at me and smiled, then he sighed in relief as he found a shirt that he had been looking for, "hey to you, too."

Walking towards me with a warm smile and a shirt on his hand, chest exposed for me to see.

He reached out to me and wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my lips, "what are you doing today?" He asked.

"It's laundry day, today. What about you? You look like you're going somewhere," I said as he scratched the backside of his neck.

"Well, the boys were going out and told me to come today. If it's okay with you?" He says and I looked at him weirdly.

"Of course you can, Luke. You have your own life and I have mine. You can go, but be home for dinner okay?" He nodded and kissed my lips again.

"But I really hoped you refused though, so we could have the day to ourselves while Kathy's going to her grandparents." He said, trying to be seductive. I laugh as he pucker up his lips.

"Even if you stayed, I'm still going to do the house chores and I wouldn't give you my time." I say, kissing his cheeks and getting out of his warm arms, picking up the clothes from the bathroom to be washed.

He chuckled as he wears the shirt and picked up his phone and wallet from the nightstand.

He kissed me again when I came out the bathroom, "I'll bring Kathy to her grandparents and we could have dinner out, 'kay?" I nodded and laugh when he placed kisses around my face.

I pushed him playfully and walked out the room to where my daughter is.

"Kathy? Come on, Luke's driving you to grandpa and grandma's house. Are you ready?" My daughter's head popped out of her closet door with a smile.

"Mommy! Can I bring my stuffies and my onesies? I wanna wear the dinosaur with a tail on it and I could waddle so my tail will wiggle." She ranted, bringing up a onesie on her hand. I smiled at her cuteness.

"Okay, baby. Are you sure you want to wear that?" I asked, making sure as we pack her a bag.

She nodded frantically, "yes, Mommy!"

"Okay, okay. Here you go," I gave her the little bag for her stuffies and we exited her room with her bag in my hand.

"Let me get that," Luke said as he took the bag out of my grasp. I gave him a thankful smile, then crouched down to her level.

"Be good to grandpa and grandma, okay?" She nodded and I hugged her, kissing her forehead.

"Bye, baby girl. See you tomorrow." I say to her, he told Kathy to get in the car and wait for him.

We walked out the house towards the car where Kathy is and he put her bags in the trunk, and turned to me.

"Bye."

"Bye. Drive safe."

Luke smiled and said, "I'll get you at 7, dress comfortable, okay?" I nod and he kissed me for the last time as he get in the car. Bringing down his window, I crouched a little to see them both.

"Bye, guys. Take care." I said, smiling at both of them.

"I love you, Mommy!"

"I love you, too, baby." I reply back and turned to Luke.

"I love you," he says.

"I love you, too." And kissed his cheek, making it appropriate for Kathy to see.

Then, they drove out the driveway. My arms around me, making me warm from the chilly air.

"I love you, too."
