After 4 months

"Auden! I need the car. Where are the keys?" My cousin asked, searching the key racks.

"They're in the-" I cut myself off by water falling from my legs.

A scream was heard in the house and I know it wasn't from me. I turned to Elijah who is looking like she's going to faint any minute now and throw her the keys to the car.

She looked like she couldn't believe that I throw something at her, I rolled my eyes, holding my stomach.

"You know, you could help me get my labor bag in the room and drive me to the hospital. It'll be a great help," I said to her and that made her get out of her trance and nodded, running up the stairs two at time.

I breathed in and out, trying to hold on from the pain. Not more seconds later passed, Elijah came down running, holding two bags and a blanket in her arms.

"Come on, come on! Let's go, we'll call Tita and Tito and the guys when we get there." She helped me get in the car and put the bags inside the trunk and started driving fast to the hospital.

"Just breathe, okay, Aud? You can do it and we could get there in just 5 minutes, just breathe in and breathe out- oh my God. The baby's coming, Kathy's coming. Oh my God, what will I-" she started rambling and I rolled my eyes. I grab her hand and squeezed it tight, making her glance at me.

"Shut up, Loi. I'm fine, just drive faster. Or I'll flood the car with my blood." I told her and that made her drive faster.

I was surprised that the police aren't chasing us yet- oh wait, I spoke sooner.

Blue and red lights flashed on the rearview mirror and she slowed down and so is the police car behind us.

I just breathe in and out, squeezing her hand from the pain, waiting for the police man come to our window.

He tapped the window and slightly pulled down his shades, "Good Morning, you are driving out of the speed limit, from 60 to 80. Why are you guys in a rush?" He asked.

She looks at me with a look of panic on her face, "Um, officer, I'm sorry, but my cousin is about to give birth and I was driving fast to the hospital so she can be-" she was cut off by my scream of pain and she widened her eyes.

The officer widened his eyes like saucers and nodded, mumbling to his radio.

"Okay, guys. You are off the hook and since you really need to go there fast we can escort you there," he says and Elijah looked at him with a shocked look, but nodded.

"Thank you officer!" He nodded and ran back to his car with his other buddies in their own cars, rang the sirens and flashing the blue and red lights.

They went first and we followed, the civilian cars were parting or stopping to give way to us.

As we continue driving, she spoke.

"I can't believe that these police guys are helping us to get to the hospital fast," she says, shaking her head, couldn't believe what was happening right now. I nodded, agreeing with her, "me too."

She started grinning from ear to ear, "can't wait to tell this to my niece about how you are being escorted by police just to get to the hospital, to give birth to her." I laugh, but not too much, since the pain was unbearable.

I know I expected that this will hurt, but I didn't know that this will hurt so much. It's like ripping you out alive!

"Auden, you'll be okay. Just do what I told you. Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale. Okay. That's good," she said when I followed her breathing.

"Okay, Ma'am. Just a little more push!  Oh there's the head! Little more miss Payne. Push!" The doctor said and I obeyed.

"Ahh!" I screamed, pushing more force. And when I did, cries of an angel was heard in all corners of the room.

Trying to catch my breath, Elijah smiled a soft smile and run her hands in my hair, "you did great, Aud. You're a Mom now." I smiled and looked at my baby getting washed and dried with a towel.

"Here, Auden. Hold her like this," she put my arms in a closed position and placed my baby in my arms.

She was crying, her nose was almost red from crying, but when I hummed a song at her, she stopped and opened her eyes.

I gasp, she has beautiful piercing green eyes like Harry's. I gave her my finger to hold onto and she grab it with her soft tiny hands.

"Hi there, Kathy. I'm your Mommy and this is your Aunt Elijah. I love you already, baby. I won't ever let a mosquito even bite you. I'll protect you, Kathryn." I kissed her temple and she closed her eyes. I smiled at her peaceful state and hugged her closer to my body.

"Auden, we need to give them Kathy to check for any signs of failures in her organs and you need to rest, okay? I'll take care of her when you're asleep." I nodded, too tired to protest and let them take my baby before my eyes closed.
