Lauren POV

The next few days went the same as the last, minus Y/N getting burned.

I would wake up to that annoying siren. The walls would close. I would eat as little as this guy would let me get away with. I took a quick shower. Y/N had pointed out the cameras to me one night, meaning that whenever I showered he was probably watching. I would sit alone in the corner of the room until the walls opened up again. Then, Y/N and I would talk about what we did all day (which wasn't much) and go to sleep. And if I woke up crying, then Y/N would do her best to calm me down. We did this exact same thing for the past three days. I'm already getting tired of it.

"Y/N?" She simply hummed in response. She was half asleep while I was wide awake. "Is it always the same down here?" I asked, turning my head to look at where she was laying on her mattress.

"No," She mumbled. "Some days are worse than others." She waited a beat before speaking again, "Lauren, what was your family like?" She asked out of the blue.

"Um. . . Well, there's my mom and my dad. I also have a little brother and a little sister."

"What are their names?"

"My mom's name is Clara, my dad's name is Mike, and my brother and my sister are Chris and Taylor."

She hummed in response. I waited for her to question me further, but it never happened. It was up to me to keep the conversation going.

"How about you? Any brothers? Sisters?" I asked.

She sighed heavily, "Two older brothers, Justin and Jason." She said in a low tone. "They're twins." She added. "What were your friends like?" She asked, trying to get the subject away from her family.

I started thinking about Camila, Dinah, Normani and Ally. Camila was probably blaming herself for me going missing, because she didn't pick me up. Even though it's not her fault, I told her not to come get me. Dinah was always so protective over me. She's either looking for me, or yelling at the cops to hurry the hell up and find me. Normani was more than likely on the same page as Dinah. And then there's Ally, my little ball of sunshine. She's either crying her little eyes out, or trying to keep everyone's hopes up.

"They are. . . the greatest people I've ever met." Those words lead me to telling Y/N every single detail about each girl. Everything from their names to their favourite pizza topping. And the best part was she listened the whole time.

"What about. . ." She paused and scratched the nape of her neck, "Like, did you have a, um, boyfriend?" She asked awkwardly. "Or a. . . a girlfriend?" She added quietly.

"Yeah, his name is Brad." I said quietly. "He wasn't the best boyfriend." I admitted. I really didn't want to talk about Brad, he was probably fucking some other girl right now. So I returned her question. "Did you have a boyfriend?"

She laughed. It wasn't an innocent little giggle, it was a full-on laugh. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"Why are you laughing?" I question.

"'Cause I'm gay as hell." She said simply. "And to answer your question, I did have a girlfriend. Nothing serious, though." She sighed softly.

It was quiet, the only sound in the room was Y/N humming softly.

"Laur, I think I'm gonna try and get some sleep." She said softly. "Would you like me to sing to you?"

I hummed a response before getting as comfortable as I could on my mattress.

"Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Like my father's come to pass
Seven years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are"

"As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Ring out the bells again
Like we did when spring began
Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are

As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends"

"Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Like my father's come to pass
Twenty years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends"
