Lauren POV
"You said you were taking us home, not here." Y/N sounded upset and somewhat distressed.
The cop had brought us to the hospital. He was told to bring us here, to make sure everything was okay on the inside and on the outside. Since we were both gone for a while, they wanted to run a few tests to make sure everything was okay.
"I want to be home with my family. Not here." She spat at him.
I put my hand on her shoulder, "Calm down." I whispered, kissing her cheek.
After much more convincing, and a few empty threats from the cop, y/n was finally convinced to go inside and cooperate with the hospital staff. The only reason she agreed was because she was told our families were already waiting for us inside. . . And the cop would be buying her chicken wings.
Once we got inside, I was immediately embraced by what felt like 1000 hands & arms. Everyone was talking at once, I couldn't make out what anyone was saying. It felt somewhat surreal and overwhelming.
"Mija, I'm so glad you're back! We were so worried about you. . ." It was just my mom and I now. She started rambling and crying and since she was crying, I couldn't help but start crying, too.
I hugged her back and laid my head on her shoulder as tears began flowing down my cheeks. I felt the rest of my family join in on the hug. We stood there for a while before we pulled away. I then went and gave hugs to my friends and we cried together. I was happy to be back home. I was especially happy that no one mentioned my hair.
"Babe!"
Oh fuck.
Before I knew it, Brad had me wrapped in an uncomfortable hug.
"I missed you so much! I was worried sick!" I rolled my eyes at him. When would it be the right time to mention that it's pretty much all his fault I was in that situation.
He pressed his no-lipped-mouth to my lips in an uncomfortably rough kiss. I tried to get him to stop but instead he shoved his tongue down my throat. I started getting scared and anxious that he wouldn't stop, but thank god somebody cleared their throat. He finally pulled away, and I pushed him away.
I looked around to see everyone looking at us, somewhat amused. And my parents just looked completely uncomfortable. I looked toward y/n and her small crowd of friends and family. Y/n looked watched with a look of confusion on her face meanwhile she had some random girl wrapped around her.
'Nothing serious' my ass.

Eventually, y/n and I were moved into a room so they could run a few tests. It was just me and her in the room, we both got hospital beds to relax in. We were both hooked up to heart monitors, but that was about it. It was completely silent between us. There was some tension hanging in the air.
"So. . . Who was that guy you were sucking face with?" She asked coldly, with a hint of annoyance laced in between each word.
"Who was that girl that was using you as a stripper pole?" I countered.
"You said he wasn't a good boyfriend," she trailed off.
"He's not." I confirmed, shrugging my shoulders.
"Really? I couldn't tell by the way you were shoving your tongue down his throat."
"I was not shoving my tongue down his throat!" I defended. "He was shoving his tongue down mine."
After the words left my mouth I realized that it didn't really help the situation. Like, at all.
"What about you, huh? I thought it was nothing serious." I mocked.
"It isn't anything serious, because 1.) we're not together and 2.) I'd much rather have you than her." She said the second reason in a softer tone.
My heart beat sped up, and the heart monitor mimicked it. Y/N let out a soft giggle, an adorable giggle might I add, and I felt myself begin to blush in embarrassment. That seemed to lighten up the mood.
"Lauren, I'm serious about being with-"
Before she could finish her sentence, my family and friends came bursting through the door. They all crowded around my bed and started talking and laughing. No one asked me any questions, they did their best to keep me in their conversations, meanwhile none of them even acknowledged y/n's presence.
I eventually ran out of things to say to them. I looked over at y/n who was messing with the settings on her hospital bed. She kept pressing buttons and messing around while I watched her in amusement.
When she got to a big, blue button, much like a cartoon, she was launched out of her bed and across the room.
"Oh my gaysus!" She shouted as she hit the wall. There was a loud crash, then a thud.
I sunk back into my bed, covering my face as I laughed my ass off. I couldn't help myself, I thought that shit only happened in cartoons.
[a/n: eh, I tried]
