*again, this is gonna be short as fuck*
Lauren POV
Y/N was pacing back and forth, and the security camera was following her every move. I would've asked her why and maybe even tried to help settle her nerves, but I already knew what was wrong.
She was nervous about her 'plan'. A 'plan' that doesn't involve me, might I add. Yep, she expected me to stay down here in this hell hole while she did some crazy shit. I had an awful feeling that this just wasn't going to work, like, at all. If anything, this whole thing was going to backfire and Y/N and I would both be fucked. I didn't support this plan, but there was No Way for me to stop it either. All I could do was sit and wait.
"Would you quit pacing, you're making me anxious." I said, she stopped in front of me.
"Sorry, I'm just nervous." She spoke in a hushed tone.
"It's not too late to back out." I shrugged.
It was already starting to get late. I could tell because the light in the room was starting to dim. The darker it got, the closer I was to freedom. . . Hopefully.

It was time for Y/N to carry on with her godforsaken plan. It was already dark, and the camera wasn't following our every move anymore.
Unfortunately, this was also the time where all worst case scenarios just so happened to have popped into my head. For instance, she could die or she could get away and leave me here to die, the list goes on and on.
"You really don't have to do this. We could think of a better, more thought out plan, together." I tried reasoning.
But I've learned that when she's set out to do something, there's no stopping her.
"Don't worry, Lauren. Everything's going to be okay. I got this." She said reassuringly.
She walked over to me and pulled me into a warm embrace. This is the safest place I've ever known.
"We're gonna make it out of here together. I promise." She whispered softly in my ear.
She pulled away and looked at me carefully. Moonlight shone through the high window, hitting her features perfectly.
"Lauren I- uh. . ." She sounded like she was contemplating something. "Eh fuck it,"
She shrugged before cupping my cheeks and pressing her lips gently against mine, causing a fire to ignite in my stomach. My heart started beating like a sledgehammer. I kissed back softly and slowly. It was only 10 seconds until she pulled away.
"See you on the other side." She then ran off towards her chute, and climbed in.
After that, I definitely didn't want her to go by herself. So, I did the only reasonable thing and did the same. I went over to my chute and climbed in.
