"I may fight with my siblings, but once you lay a finger on them, you'll be facing me,"
-UnknownBryanna Juliette Cooper
It's currently Monday, my last day on crutches, and I couldn't be any happier. I absolutely despised hopping around all the time, having to balance between balancing yourself so that you wouldn't fall and doing the things that you need to do.
Also, the only fun thing I ever got to do was lay in bed and make Bryan do everything for me, but other than that it was hell.
Yesterday we went to the hospital to pay Tristan a visit. When the doctor told him that he wouldn't be able to play for the team for sectionals, he lost it. Sectionals is 2 months away and we need him. The boys have never gotten past sectionals without him. The team's incomplete without him.
I've never seen Tristan look so broken. The team is everything to him, they're like the family he never did have. Football was his safe zone, a place where he can be himself.
I forgot that I was still sitting inside my closet, for about 5 minutes now, not knowing what I should wear to school. Giving up, I sigh and went to the safest option: black leggings and a mint colored, oversized sweater. I then grabbed a pair of mint colored Toms and quickly changed.
I wasn't sure whether I should be nervous to go to school or not. Would it be awkward for Jason and I? Would Jackson actually try to 'make it up' to me despite not so much as giving me a call or text during the weekend. Not a single one.
Can I spend some alone time with Luke, Jackson or any of the guys without Jason getting jealous or without him feeling bad?
Hold on a minute- why am I stressing over Jason? He's not my boyfriend, he's just my friend. He said it himself. He wouldn't have the right to be jealous.
Bryan knocks on my door two times before completely barging in. I hopped on over outside and Bryan was there with my bag over his shoulders. "Come on, don't want to be late for school," he smiles quiet bitterly. Something was quiet off with him, I just couldn't place my finger on it.
"Are you alright?" I ask him, he doesn't say anything in response except a blunt, "Let's go," before he heads out of my room, not even waiting for me.
I sat down, across from Bryan. He was avoiding eye contact with me, glancing at me only when I would accidentally hit my ankle somewhere and I would curse out in pain. Other than that, he ignored me.
I wasn't even able to finish half of my food when Bryan stood up and grabbed his bag and went to the garage. Sighing, I give Mom a pitiful look and a kiss on the cheek before I went to follow Bryan to the garage.
After struggling to place my bag in the car, I was finally able to get in the car and, again, Bryan was ignoring me.
"Bryan, can you just tell me what is wrong?" I ask him with a sigh, he shook his head and without looking at me he says, "Nothing." It came out awfully calm.
Whatever's got his panties in a twist, it's too early to deal with. He clearly doesn't want to talk to me, so I decide not to push it any further and wait until training.
