Falling through time

You vowed that you'd be by my side

in sickness and in health.

A vow so cruel in our case,

I wish I could spare a moment so you could see.

These words I write in my moment of clearance,

to let you know

sometimes you need to let go.

My life it shifts,

it's so uncertain.

Right know I might love you,

but dinner come I might have fallen back in time.

Back to a day,

when we in no way could've met.

They have such a big word,

for something this simple.

Alzheimers they said,

my brain is deteriorating.

I hurt you last week,

Darling I remember.

Let's not fight, fights,

that I won't understand.

Come sunrise I might be gone,

but our time spent will never be undone.
