Chapter 1: The Lovely Meeting With the School's Heaяtthяobs

"Who's that new chick?"

"Ugh! What's she doing here? She better stay away from him, he's mine!"

"Damn! Who's that? She's hot!"

"I didn't even know people came here anymore."

"If I were her I'd leave this sorry excuse of a town as fast as I could!"

These were some of the comments that I heard as I walked by trying to get to the front office to get my schedule. It was my first day of school at Westminster High and I was extremely nervous. It was my senior year and I wanted to make the most out of it, and I couldn't do that without making a good first impression... Especially in a school this small.

I had curled my wavy light brown hair with blonde highlights and let it down hanging down to my waist. I had put on a white summer dress that reached my mid thighs and I had thrown on a light green cropped jacket and put my combat boots on. I put in a couple of bracelets on my wrists and some rings on random fingers. My make-up consisted of mascara, eyeliner, and lip gloss. So all-in-all I looked nice but looked like I didn't spend too much time picking out my outfit, when in reality I spent all of last night picking it out.

Once I reached the front office I had to wait for about five minutes before someone came to the countertop help me.

"Hi honey! I'm guessing you're Brooke Walters. Am I right?" The front desk lady asked me when she saw me.

"Er... Yeah," I replied slightly taken back by her overly cheery mood.

"Ok well here you go," she responded beaming as she handed me my schedule. "Have a great day!"

"Yeah. Um thanks, I guess," I muttered grabbing my schedule from her.

"Wait hold on! I forgot to give you your books and gym clothes! I’ll be right back, hon," she exclaimed slapping her hand in her forehead before disappearing behind a door.

As I waited for her I awkwardly stood by the door deciding if I should take out my phone and look busy, or stand idly by waiting for her. When I finally decided to take my phone out and play a game of Subway Surfers she returned with a stack of 8 books in her arms.

"Ok honey. Here you go. You should find your locker fairly easy so I'll leave ya to it. And is your brother coming today?"

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes when she mentioned my twin brother, James. "Yeah he's coming he should be here in a few." James turned down my offer when I asked if he wanted to ride to school withe in my red convertible this morning. Knowing him he probably was coming to school on his motorcycle, casually late as he called it, causing a ruckus and a grand entry.

"Ok well have a great day!" She called out before disappearing behind the door again leaving me off to my death.

I stuffed four of my books and my gym clothes into my bag and placed the rest of them comfortably in my arms before heading out to find my locker and get to class.

As I walked out of the office I saw people rushing to and fro trying to get to their lockers before the bell rings. I sighed and started to fight my way through the crowded hallway towards my locker.

"Hi! You must be the new girl everybody's talking about!" a light voice said filling my ears. I turn around and see a tall, blonde girl that's completely flawless standing behind me.

"Um yeah... I guess," I reply shifting the books into a better position.

"Well I'm Candy Swan. It's nice to meet you and I would shake your hand but they look kind of full right now. How about I give you a hand?"

"Wow ok," I say surprised as she takes two out of the four books from my hands. "Thanks. I'm Brooke Walters, it's nice to meet you too."

"So what brings you here? Nobody comes here... Like ever."

I grimaced for a second as I remember the reason why my family and I moved here, but quickly cover it up with a fake smile. "Oh you know, the usual; my dad got a job upgrade so we had to move here for it." Lie. I didn't have a dad, but who needs to know that?

Candy just smiled and nodded her head. If she caught my reaction to her question, she didn't show it. "I totally understand. The few people that moved here came for the same reason."

"Well this is my locker, thanks for helping me Candy," I say stopping in front of my locker.

"Seriously? This is your locker? You are so lucky!" Candy squeals in excitement.

"What's so special about this locker?" I asked confused.

"This is the locker in between the two hottest boys in school! River Daniels and Dylan Fransco! They are die hard hot! You are the luckiest girl ever! This is going to be our new hang out spot before school starts, okay?" Candy asks excitedly.

"Okay," I replied in uncertainly. After all, I only met this girl like two minutes ago and she was acting as if we were long lost friends or something.

"Oh. My. God! Here they are, they're coming towards us! Why are they coming towards us? Oh yeah this is where their lockers are! Stupid, how could I forget?" Candy said, rambling nervously.

I looked up and glanced over to where Candy was stating at. Two guys were walking down the hallway. Even I had to admit, they were pretty good-looking. The taller of the two had flat, dark brown hair. Even from the great distance between us I could still see his icy, bright blue eyes. He was wearing a light grey shirt that hugged him tightly so you could see the outline of his muscles, low sling blue jeans, and converse. The second one was only shorter by an inch at the most. He had hair that went up in a slope and was obviously bleached because his roots were starting to grow out. He had chiseled features, unlike the first one, and bright, radiant green eyes. He had a black and white plaid button up shirt that had the top three buttons unbuttoned, revealing a black t-shirt underneath. He had faded jeans along with vans and I have to admit, he pulled the look off pretty damn well. But the chances of me falling for one of them is unfortunately slim to none. They were hot, yes, but I can tell just by the way they carry themselves and ignore people calling out to them that they are arrogant. The taller one veered off around the corner while the dude with the bleached hair continued making his way towards the lockers.

"Quick, pretend that we're laughing at something!" Candy whispers excitedly.

She then proceeds to laugh such a fake laugh that I can't help but burst out laughing. I was laughing so hard at her failed attempt that I leaned against one of the lockers behind me to support my weight.

Sadly though, I was interrupted in my moment of laughter by a deep smooth voice, "Who the hell are you and what are you doing leaning on my locker?"

I sharply turned around in surprise and saw that it was I- tried- to- bleach- my- hair- but- it- went- so- horribly- wrong speaking to me, his green eyes were glaring at me with such anger that the only thought that came to my mind was: Yep, definitely arrogant.
