Chapter 11: Dealing With мaмa Bear

The rest if the day passed with my hand throbbing painfully and developing very beautiful shades of purple and green around my knuckles (who knew punching River would have this turn out?). Candy, Lana, and Kennedy kept on giving me suggestive looks every time that we had a class with Dylan and he would look at me with a small smile as if he knew exactly what they were doing. Boring classes passed that filled my brain with useless crap, and the rest of the student body seemed to know of me and Dylan's soon-to-be-date. I mean they were honestly acting like we were engaged or some other crazy thing like that. So as a result of people knowing that information, they all either came up to me trying to be my new friend and started sucking up to me, or started giving me dirty looks and called me a slut, whore, and I could have sworn somebody called me a white stick with hair... Not really sure what that means, but thank you?

When the bell rang signaling the end of school, I could not wait to get out of that prison. So without waiting another second I shoved everything into my bag and tried my best to casually sprint out of the classroom, so I didn't attract too much attention, itching to get away from everybody's stares.

Honestly, it was like I was the newest exhibit at the zoo and they couldn't take their eyes off of me. Talk about awkward... It was like my day dream/nightmare was coming true- I was the half donkey-half elephant, or whatever other animal I thought I was for whatever reason- maybe somebody put drugs in my lunch- and they were willing to get a good look at me for the first time ever.

The treatment I was getting here absolutely sucked, it was like every single girl in the school was a bipolar monkey or something, and they couldn't decide whether to rip my eyes out with spoons for dating one of their future husbands, or to bow down to me to either a.) Get on my good side and become friends with me in order to come closer to the kings, or to b.) Worship me because I managed to snag one of the most “untouchable” guys on campus. It was driving me absolutely crazy.

"Wait up lady! Geez you walk like a superhuman!" a familiar voice called over to me.

I turned around, despite my longing to make my sweet escape from this God awful prison, and found Jessica and Brittany speed weakling over to me.

"Wouldn't a superhuman have the same walking speed as an average human's walking speed? I mean just because Brooke walks abnormally fast doesn't mean a superhuman walks as fast as she does. I mean what if the superhuman isn't abnormally fast and has an average walking speed, but has an amazingly smart mind that can outsmart anybody in the whole entire universe? I mean, the definition of a superhuman means that the human has a greater advantage to a regular human, but it could have a greater advantage at any subject, not just sports," Brittany's know-it-all tone called after Jessica's remark.

In spite of my previous annoyance to everything and anything in this personal hell of mine, I smiled at Jessica and Brittany's unique friendship. Who would've thought that these two crazy girls, with polar opposite personalities, would be best friends?

"Anyways, as I was saying, before this pain in my ass interrupted me, I need a huge favor that would be awesome if you could do for me," Jessica continued as Brittany dropped her jaw at the insult Jessica oh- so- casually flung out.

"Um, sure, what is it?" I replied tugging anxiously at my purse strap itching to make a break for it towards the exit.

"Okay, awesome. Can you please, please, please, please, insert a thousand more pleases here, with a cherry on top pick up my little brother, Will, from football practice today?" Jessica questioned biting her lip in anticipation.
