"That worked out perfectly" I muttered as I trudged to my door, flung it open, making sure to close it behind me again and locked it. I would hate for anyone to get in there. I'm quite a private person by nature though I suppose that could also be because I brought some stuff with me that I don't want the others to see. Though to be fair the instructor never specifically told us we couldn't bring plants with us. "Nothing I can do about it now..." I mutter shrugging slightly.

I wonder what's for dinner...

Chapter 8

Dinner had been a chicken stue. Though it wasn't the tastiest it definitly did fill my empty stomach quite nicely. Though my day had only gotten better when I finally allowed myself to fall into my bed, still fully dressed, and relax. That bed was like a cloud as it cocooned around me. I slept like the dead.

Today is Saturday and I'm more than ready for breakfast. I've never had the luxury of having food two days in a row. This is amazing amd I'm definitly never going to pass off the opportunity to eat. I grinned slightly. Maybe I'd explore the rest of the school while I'm at it. Checking my appearance in the mirror I felt my lips twitch up in amusement at the unruly mess that is my hair. Even though my hair is one of the main factors that had always set me apart from my family it had to be the one thing I loved the most about myself. My hair and my eyes made me feel special.

Taking my time I undid the braid, pulled my fingers through it quickly so as to untangle the hair slightly before I did a quick side braid letting it rest over my shoulder as I finished. Though I did take note of the strands of hair slipping from the braid and framing my face the dark strands a stark contrast against my milky white skin. My skin had always been this light no matter how much time I've spent in the sun. And believe me, I spent a lot of time in the sun.

Once I was finished and my appearance now seemed presentable enough I took my leave through my door taking care to lock it behind me before I took off down the corridor. "Ok, down the corridor and the steps... " I trailed off as I took the last few stairs before stopping in to the entrance hall "and now, through the dark wood double doors..." I mumbled as I pushed the doors open slightly, barely enough to fit my head through.

Quickly I scanned the room looking to see if it was empty and to my luck it was. I'm not really in the mood for people. Dinner last night had been extremely tense with all the eyes in the room having followed my every move. Though now I felt my heart calm slightly and so with a small smile on my face I opened the door just wide enough to squeeze through before closing it behind me again.

Slowly yet stealthily I made my way into the kitchen where I made my first stop at the pantry. Just my luck, grinning like a loon, I stuck my hand in and took two biscuit tins and tucking them under my left arm as I then closed the pantry doors and moved on to the cupboards. The first two were filled with plates, bowls and cups, though the third had meat in it. Cured ham, beef sticks and all different kinds of poached and roasted berries. "Oh yes!" I exclaimed as I grabbed a tin of each. I don't know how I'm supposed to get this to my room without being seen...

"Don't over think it" I muttered to myself. So with my arms so full I could barely see I turned around and marched softly out of the kitchen, back into the hall, up the stairs down the corridor and into my room where I then proceeded to throw everything I had grabbed on to my bed. Staring at my treasure happily I let out a sigh as I realized what a good and bad idea this was. Walking towards the closet I was pleasantly surprised when I found it fully stocked with soft on the inside and hard on the outside, I'm guessing not easily tearable, skin tight black pants as well as matching black shirts and boots. Obviously the school uniform if I go by the sigil stitched into the pants pocket and the shirts back.
