*Previously*

The room is bare, except for the single sided window on the wall to my left. The same side the voice had come from. "Airis Fox, please proceed through the blue door on your right" this was the same female voice that had spoken before. Nodding my head I walked across the room, my hands twitching slightly. This always happens when I'm nervous. Just a another thing really that my parents found odd about me. Finally as I reached the door I tried to open it only for my hands to burst into flames once my hand made contact. Well that's never happened before...

"So it had been fire"

Chapter 6

In silence I sat in the chair appointed to me after I had left that room I had been in when my hands had burst into flames. 'How did that happen anyway?' I thought with frown setting on my face. 'It's never happened before, not to me and definitly not to any of my family' I thought in confusion.

I'm pretty sure my father would be boasting about it every second of every day had he been abke to do that. I also think that if he were able to do that, then we would be living somewhere slightly nicer than where the farm currently is.

"Hey" I was startled from my thoughts by a voice, soft and sweet, from my left. It's a boy, about my age I'd guess, his hair is a startling blond accompanied by beautiful green eyes. "Hi" I whispered back as a ball of nerves formed in my stomach. 'He is talking to me? Right?' I thought doubtfully as I shot a quick look over my shoulder just to make sure I really was the only other person in the corridor.

"You scared?" He asked a slight tremble in his voice. "Terrified" I answered a smirk placed on my lips. Faje it till you make it. In an instant his eyes gained a mischivous glint to them and in that monent I concluded that if the fire that had suddenly exploded from my hands didn't kill me then we would end up being the best of friends. His weird seemed just- just enough to almost match mine.

"Ok listen up everybody" it's the man from before, the same one from the arena and the same one that had led me into that very room. "Everyone in this room has been gifted with an element" he continued 'gifted!?' I thought my eyes widening slightly. 'At least that meams that I'm not the only one' The thought does very little to comfort me.

"And now that that whole story is out od the way be can finallt begin. From here you will be sorted in to your elements group and then sent to your dorms. Element will be placed with Element. This is to help us make friends and also so that you can learn together. We all know the saying "Two heads is better than one" The man stated as he took on a slightly more relaxed form.

"First year's will room with other first year's as is the tradition. Once in your dorms you will be visited by an instructor and you will then recieve your scedule" he stated. The silence was deafening. We all sat in the silence shocked by the amount of information we had just been given. The man nodded as if satisfied by our response.
