"good afternoon class and you all know I am Mr. Watts and I will be your drums teacher today. Any of you had any other Rolling Stones members for you classes yet today?"
"I have Mr.Jagger next period sir."
I said.
"Ok, then Jasper, you come up here please."
Charlie says.
I sat behind the drums, as he explained it to me and the class.
"Keep a steady rhythm, remember. Play something."
He said.
"Like what? Rock? Pop? Country?"
I said.
"Play something you think you would know just try it's OK if it doesn't work you're not being graded. Try the blues."
Charlie says.
So I started to play 'Mannish Boy.'
"ok, I kinda recognize that. Is it Muddy Waters?"
"Yeah."
I said.
"Mannish Boy."
He said softly.
"Yes Mr.Watts."
I said.
"That was really good for a first run, Mick and Keith would be impressed."
"I'll tell them you said that."
(Charlie is a layed back mellow, but awesome kind of teacher.)🏴
