Chapter 19.

Jane cut into the beef her mother had cooked and looked at Maura who was sitting next to Frankie opposite her on the table.

There eye's met as conversations went around the table and Jane felt a foot gently run against the side of her leg. She smirked.

"What are you two smirking about?" Angela pointed out causing hives all over Maura's chest.

"Nothing Ma" Jane snapped then laughed.

The whole family sat in the garden around the bon fire Jane and the boys had made with their sticks of marshmellows.

"Do you always do this?" Maura whispered as she snuggled closer to Jane and watched her family laugh and talk.

"Its a family tradition." Jane smiled.

Maura smiled and her heart warmed as she thought about them with maybe their own children around a fire.

"Hey Janie! You know what time it is!" Frankie smiled as he pulled a black accoustic guitar from behind him and handed it to Jane.

Jane rolled her eyes and took the guitar.

"I swear they only have me here because i can play" Jane laughed then began to play a slow sweet tune.
