Recover-Chapter Five

I fluttered my eyes open to a not so familiar blue room. I realized I want in my room or house. I started to panic. Who the hell put me here? Where was I at?

I sat up and remembered Alexander and everything that took place before I went to sleep. My stomach growled but I ignored it as usual.

I tiptoed down the steps and saw Alexander watching TV on the couch with his feet up on the table.

"Good morning pretty girl. Feel better?" I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and nodded. I heard him attempting to contain a laugh. "What?" I turned around and found a mirror mounted on the wall. My hair looked like a rats nest, going in all directions.

I smoothed it out with the tips of my fingers and sat down on the couch. I looked down and saw I was still wearing Alexander's jacket from this morning. "Oh here." I tried slip out of the arms but he stopped me. "No, no.. You can keep it.. For today... Are you cold? Come here." He opened his arms out.

I did the unthinkable and actually leaned into him. I felt safe, warm, protected, comfortable in his arms. I never wanted to leave. I glanced at the clock above the TV. It was almost five o'clock. "Can you take me home now? My mom should be coming home soon." I lied about the last part. I just really wanted to go.

"But you said your mom doesn't pay attention to you..?"

"Can I please just go home?" He chuckled but nodded.

"So I guess I will see you at school tomorrow.." Alexander said while parking his truck. "Yeah.. Thanks for the ride. Oh wait! My car! Can you drive me to the school?" He laughed and took the car out of park.

"Thank you. For everything.." I mumbled. "I will always be here for you." He was going to put his hand on my thigh but remembered earlier and covered it up by putting it on the console.

I blushed kinda happy about him remembering and not wanting to push anything.

Mom wasn't home. There was a note on the table saying she was working late and below it was twenty bucks for food. I never use the money for food. I just keep it and use it for gas in my car.

I walk upstairs to my room. There's nothing else to do, and I don't have any homework so I start unpacking the rest of my stuff and organizing.

An hour later my phone buzzed on my nightstand. I put down the clothes I had in my hand, in the third drawer of my dresser and walked to my phone.

Hey beautiful :)

I rolled my eyes after reading the text.

What do u want?

I threw my phone on my bed and went back to putting my clothes away. All I had left were my clothes, everything else was in its place.

From: Manwhore ;)

I'm playin in the football game tomorrow nite. Come.

That sounded like fun. If he's going to be playing then I will just be the awkward loner in the crowd.

To: Manwhore ;)

Thx for the offer but no.. I don't have anybody to go with

I was not going to go out where there are tons of teens all bunched together screaming is not my type of thing.
