Recover Chapter- Twelve

"Thank you so much Lexii. Tell her bye Trey." Mary patted on the small boy's shoulder. He waved goodbye at me and I shut the door.

I had to hurry up and get ready since Mary came to pick Trey up later than normal. I didn't really have much to choose from, as normal. I chose a black pair of hugging jeans with nude color top. It didn't quite reach all of my wrist so I had to wear bracelets to cover my scars. I'm so proud of myself! I haven't cut in five days! It's amazing and I feel great. Nothing's made me sad yet.

I curl my hair and brush out the curls to soften them up. I coated my eyelashes in black mascara for the first time in a long time. I was very excited to be hanging out with Gavin. Tonight, has been what has gotten me past the last two days of school. Alexander was still clingy as ever and nosy.

Have fun tonite but if Gavin hurts u I swear he won't live to see tomorrow

I rolled my eyes at his exaggeration. He's always got to be in my business. I reply and finish getting ready.

I actually feel bad for all of the thoughts I had about Gavin on Friday, the night we first met with each other. He's really sweet, nothing like what I thought he would be.

"Lexii get the door!" Andrew called from the living room. It's sad to see him leave tonight, and I won't e here.

I met up with him standing next to the couch. "Bye love you. Have a safe trip back, and call me when you get there okay?"

"As much as you hate to admit it Lexii, you're just like mom." He gave me a small hug before letting me answer the door.

"Hey, you ready?" I nodded my head. I followed him out to his Jeep. Kindly, Gavin opened my door for me and waited until I was inside to shut it.

"So how was your day?" I asked starting conversation. "It was shit.. But it's getting better. What about you?"

"It was fine, nothing to talk about.." The rest of the ride was cold and quiet. Gavin was driving down dimly lit streets until he stopped at what looked like a park. It was dusk outside with chilly air.

"What are we doing here?" He ignored me and grabbed something from the backseat. "It's freezing outside Gavin, please tell me we aren't staying out here." I was only wearing the shirt I had on since I thought we would be indoors.

"Take my sweatshirt." He set the items in his hands down and flung the sweatshirt off his body. I felt bad for leaving him to be cold, but I'm not freezing my ass off.

"Are we even supported to be here this late?" I questioned trying to keep up with him. "No." He finally stopped in a grassy area and laid a blanket down. He set a basket down and sat down himself.

He slowly pulled items out of the basket sharing them with me. "What is this?"

"Food, what else?" I uncapped the cylinder in my hand and the aroma of chicken soup flooded my nostrils. "No I mean all of this? I expected to be inside and warm." He smirked and looked me in the eyes. "It's my attempt of a date dammit. I don't do this, like ever, so appreciate it." He demanded jokingly. My stomachs fluttered at the word date.

We chatted about our day and each other while we ate the food. We were both soon finished and laying next to each other on the blanket looking at the sky. The stars were all clumped together in the sky forming blurs in my vision. "What would you do, if I did this?" Gavin asked and suddenly hovered himself on top of me. He moved his face down to my neck and play bit my skin. I felt weak under his body and my mind flashed back to that night. I pushed his stomach to get off of me but he didn't listen.
