The Party

Chapter 4 | The Date

Katie, Chloe, and Jordan sat up to see Alexis run into the living room. She was freaking out. The girls pushed off the blankets and stood up. They walked over to Alexis.

Jordan: What happened?

Chloe: Lexi are you okay?

Alexis: NO! I'M FLIPPING OUT!

Katie: Okay. Lexi, listen. You need to calm down, sit down on the couch, and tell us what happened.

Alexis: Okay.

Chloe: Tell us what happened.

Alexis: Okay. It all started in the car. We drove off and I turned up the radio, but Jacob immediately turned it off. I looked at him and he looked at me. I said, "Why did you turn it off", and he said, "Because I want to talk to you." "I already said that I don't want to talk about this. We are done." "I know but just hear me out." I rolled my eyes and agreed. "Look, Lexi, I'm really sorry for what I did. It's truly not even my fault. And just let me explain. I went over to Maddie's house to work on that group project for history. Her mom answered the door and told me that Maddie was waiting for me upstairs. So I went upstairs and went into her room. The lights were off but they had about 10 candles lit. I looked around for Maddie and saw her come out of her bathroom with a silk robe on. I asked what she was doing and she said,'What I've been waiting to do for a long time. And since Alexis isn't here to help on the project yet, I finally have my chance.' I struggled to find words to say. She grabbed me and pushed me onto the bed. She began kissing me and I tried pushing her off. Just as she tried to take off my shirt, you walked in and never gave me a chance to explain" "I don't believe you." "Lex, I loved you so so much and I would have never done that to you. Why would I mess up the only good thing in my life?" "Ok. I believe you." "So do you forgive me?" "Yes, but I don't forgive Maddie. And we aren't back together. Not yet at least." "Okay"

Jordan: Why did you forgive him? You hate him.

Alexis: Shut up and let me finish.

Jordan: Geez, okay okay.

Alexis: Anyway, as I was saying. Everything went great during the concert. During the concert finale, fireworks were going off and it was pretty amazing. I looked over and saw Jacob staring at me with a huge smile. He grabbed my hands and pulled me close. He was breaking two of my rules. He leaned in and kissed me right on the lips. I kissed back. I didn't mean to I was just caught up in the moment. But I have to admit, it was amazing. I realized how much I missed him. The kiss seemed to last forever. The car ride home was pretty much silent. He grabbed my hand. He kissed it and just held onto it the whole way home. We looked and smiled at each other. I missed that. He stopped at the stop sign down the street from Katie's house and looked over at me. He looked deep into my eyes and said, "Lexi? Will you be my girlfriend?" I stared at him in shock. "Yes." I thought he would never ask. And then he dropped me off here, kissed me good bye, and drove off. I hope ya'll aren't mad at me.

Jordan: Of course we aren't mad.

Katie: Yeah, we just want you to be happy.

Chloe: I'm so glad you guys are back together. You guys were the cutest couple in the whole school.

Alexis: Oh, and I'm sorry I woke you up.

Katie: *laughs* It's fine. But I'm so tired, so let's go up to my room and go to sleep.

The 4 girls went up to Katie's room and put on their pajamas. They got into Katie's bed and went to sleep.
