**Dan POV**

When I arrived home, I noticed that the house had been, basically half cleared out. Some of the cutlery had gone, some cushions from the sofa, a few pieces from each room. It was really weird. "What happened?" I asked my mum in confusion.

"Your father.. He's moving out."

"Moving out? Why?" I narrowed my eyes slightly.

She sighed, "We had an argument so he's leaving. Maybe just for a while, maybe permanently. I don't know."

"Dickhead." I murmured.

"Don't talk about him like that, it was a mutual decision." She said and turned around, pretending to clean the dishes just to avoid my gaze, but there was no water in the basin.

"Mutual decision? Where's my say in it?" I asked, raising my voice slightly. Not necessarily from anger, but confusion and upset.

She didn't answer me and continued 'cleaning the dishes'. I groaned and walked upstairs. And as I usually did when I was upset, I texted Phil.

'Hey, are you feeling better?'

He took a while to reply, but I smiled when he did.

'Yeah, just a bit tired. I missed you today. How are you?'

'Me too. And I'm okay.' I forced a smile as though he could see my face through his phone screen, I didn't want to burden him with my problems, or make him feel sad. 'Can I come over?'

'Sure :) I'm kind of lonely.'

I grabbed my jacket and quickly shouted bye to my mum before walking out of the house. I didn't tell her where I was going, she probably thought I was leaving too.

**Phil POV**

I coughed slightly and sat up in bed. My throat felt like a bucket of sand had been tipped down it, so I took a few sips of water. I rubbed my eyes and reached for my phone to see I had a text from Dan, he was asking how I was. I replied, and we talked a little before he asked to come round. I said yes, of course, I didn't want to reject him even if I was ill. I climbed out of bed and grabbed some jeans and a t-shirt from my wardrobe and pulled them on. I combed my hair slightly, not caring if it was messy, my excuse would be that I'm ill.

"Hey." I smiled as I answered the door.

Dan giggled, "Your voice is all croaky. But it's cute."

I laughed and then whined, "My throat hurts when I laugh. Come in." I stepped away from the doorway so he could walk in, and we sat on the couch.

"Where's your mum?" Dan asked.

"She's at work, but I slept all day anyway." I shrugged.

"Lucky bastard." Dan laughed.

"I'm not lucky to have this stupid cold. Do you want it?" I pouted.

"If you're offering, ill take your illness." Dan smiled and leaned in to kiss me. I grinned and kissed him back slowly, he wrapped his arms around my neck, shuffling closer to me. I pulled away and Dan made a sad face, "What?" I grinned.

"I wanted to kiss you more."

"I don't want to give you a cold."

"I don't care." Dan sighed and hugged me. "I missed you."
