A/N: woah I'm updating, yep. I kinda had a mini writer's block on this phanfic for a week or so, but I know where it's going now so expect more updates! I'll probably update this once every three to four days or something, as I'm still doing Colliding With Fantasy (even though it's been almost a month) and I also started a new phanfic called Summer Camp, chapter one is up now. ^-^ Thank you for reading by the way, I got over 100 reads which I'm really happy about c:

**Dan POV**

"Why do you even talk to Lester?" PJ asked me as we walked to the back of the bikeshed with Chris.

I shrugged, I obviously had to lie to PJ. I did like talking to Phil, but I felt awkward around him. He thinks that I'm better than him just because I hang around with PJ and Chris, and for that he hates me. No, he probably hates me because I'm horrible to him. That seems more likely. "Have to, remember?" I looked around, before pulling the packet of cigarettes from my jacket.

"Split it three ways?" PJ suggested, his eyes fixed on the packet, suddenly changing the subject. I thought for a second before nodding, "Seems fair. Alright, then." I gave PJ and Chris four each, leaving four for myself. I leant against the wall before retrieving my lighter from my pocket, clicking it a few times before the flame appeared and I placed it against the cigarette between my two fingers, lifting it up to my mouth and taking a long drag.

"I'm going to smell of tobacco again," Chris complained as he ignited his cigarette.

"Stop worrying, your mum isn't going to notice." I reassured him. Chris always worried about this. His parents despised of smoking, unaware that their son does it most of the time, so he was constantly afraid they'd find out and be angry.

He rolled his eyes before taking a puff himself.

"We'll have to get going soon. Can't afford to get caught again, can I?" I pointed out as I dropped my cigarette to the floor and stamped it out.

"Me neither," Chris added quickly, copying my actions, shortly followed by PJ.

We quickly made our way back into the building, a little later than everybody else but we didn't care.

"See ya, dickheads." I laughed as we departed to go to class.

**Phil POV**

I started copying notes down from the lesson, it was something about algebra that I wasn't really paying attention to. Maths was my least favourite subject, and I didn't see how algebra was helpful at all. I looked up as I saw Dan enter the room, he was late as usual. He rolled his eyes as he noticed that the other seats were taken and sat down next to me, ignoring me as he dropped his bag down onto the floor and sunk into the chair. "Hey." He smiled slightly after a few seconds of silence. I pretended I didn't hear him and continued with my writing, he looked over my shoulder quickly. "I don't understand this." He said.

"Didn't think you would." I muttered under my breath.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He sighed slightly, looking a little hurt.

"Sorry, I didn't mean it." I shrugged, not expecting him to hear me. Surprisingly, we didn't talk much after that except exchanging a few answers and looks, including awkward split-second eye contact.

"Is it true, what PJ said the other day?" Dan asked me as the lesson ended.

"About what?" I blushed, I knew exactly what he was talking about.

"About you..liking me. Because if it is, then that's cute I guess...but don't tell PJ I said that. Or Chris." He bit his lip.

"Umm.. I don't know..kinda, I guess. Maybe." I started.

"I knew it." Dan giggled slightly.

I nodded a little, suddenly turning shy. "Anyway, I have Art next. Bye." He said, turning to walk away. And I swear he brushed my hand.

**Dan POV**

I liked that Phil had a crush on me, if only PJ didn't have to ruin that. I guess I kind of liked him too...as a friend, of course. I'm not gay, I like girls. I might have maybe tried to hold Phil's hand for a second, but that doesn't mean anything, right? I was just being friendly.

I sat at the back of the classroom drawing for the whole of the Art lesson. I don't really like Art, so I usually just sketch in my book for the hour.

"Dan, you'll have to do some work you know. You have an exam soon." Said my teacher as she walked over to my desk. I sighed and closed my book quickly, packing it away in my bag before she could see anything. It wasn't inappropriate or anything like that, just...personal. I didn't like people looking through it. I grabbed the revision sheet from in front of me and packed that into my bag too before leaving the classroom as the bell rang, marking the end of another school day.

I decided to text Phil after dinner, I thought we should perhaps arrange something for our project. 'Want to come over tomorrow?:)' I typed, hoping he'd say yes. It'd be fun hanging out with Phil for a while, so long as PJ and Chris didn't find out. I wanted to get to know Phil more, he seemed like a nice person.

**Phil POV**

I smiled as I received the text from Dan, 'I'd love to! x' I typed, before going back and deleting the 'x' and hitting send. I thought it'd be weird if I typed an 'x', even though I sent them to most people. Dan might think I'm being...forward, or something. Not like anything was going on anyway.

I was excited to go to Dan's house, as sad as it may sound, I've never actually been to someone's house in years and from what I remember, it's great. I don't usually get to talk to Dan at school because of his friends, so this was a good opportunity.

'Great! :D' He answered after a few minutes. I grinned and locked my phone before turning off my light and burrowing under my duvet.
