Faith P. O. V

I sat in that chair what seemed like hours. I have talk to the chief and I told him what my dad did in the past 6 years.

After what seems to be hours, I talked to the chief again and he told me I was going to a home orphanage for girls. I didn't want to go. I'm going to get adopted by people I don't know. They could be worse than my dad. Why did I tell the truth about my dad?

As we got in the car I got really nervous. I should have lied and stayed with my dad. I can take the pain. I can.

The cop asked me if I had anything at home. "I got nothing" I told him.

We took off; it seems like we drove for hours. We drove... And drove... And we drove some more. We stopped at McDonald.
We got it to go. I got a cheeseburger and fries. It was wonderful. I can feel the meat juice trickling down my neck and the soda sizzling in my mouth. It was amazing.

We drove some more and I realized it was getting dark. When it was dark we finally made it. That was the longest car ride ever. I got out and stretched and all the bones in my body popped like I was an old lady.

We got to the front door and these two young couples walked out holding a girl, who appeared to be 4, with a scared look on her face. "Did she get adopted?" I thought to myself.

We walked in and got greeted by the caretaker. There was a lot of girls here.

While the police were...... I'm going to guess talking to the main caretaker. I was talking to one of the two caretakers. I told her I was scared. I want to go back home. I didn't tell her about my dad. She told me her name is Miley. She seems to be a nice lady.

I saw Faith walking in the door with a sad but scared look on her face. I called in Ms. Clive and told her we got a new girl. After the police pulled her to the side I sat down and talked with Faith. I couldn't really get anything out of her. All she was saying is she was scared and want to go home.

I told her I don't want to be here. I'm scared. I want to go home. It was 9 o'clock. Miley and the other caretaker were putting all the girls to bed. Ms. Clive was talking to me about all the rules and how I'm going to be okay.

I can tell that Faith was frightened. I told her that she is safe and okay. I did take notice of all the bruises that her dad did. The cops were telling me everything about her. After that I showed her around and told her where everything was.
