Chapter 23 Give it Back

*The next day*

Faith P O V

     I slept fantastic last night. I must have been exhausted. I went downstairs and saw that everybody was up. That's a first. Then I saw somebody else.

Scott: Morning, Faith.

Kevin: Did you sleep well?

Faith: Yea, I was out.

Kirstie: Faith, this is Lindsey Stirling.

Esther: Pentatonix had a thing come up and can't take anyone with us.

Mitch: So we asked Lindsey to take you out.

Faith: Okay. What is it you got to do?

Avi: It's band stuff that you wouldn't understand.

Faith: Okay

Faith P O V

     They said I had to go with Lindsey today. Lindsey and I walked out the door. I looked back and saw all six of them looking back at me. They are not even smiling. What are they doing to me? She better not be taking me back to the orphanage.

Kirstie P O V

     We decided to go in her room and look around. She couldn't be here. I called one of our friends and asked Lindsey if she could take her out for a while. She agreed. But we didn't tell her why.

     We saw Lindsey and Faith leave. When they were out of sight we went off into Faith's room.

     The first thing we did was to lift up the mattresses. All of us saw five blades. I busted into tears. We nearly got started and already found five blades. Avi comforted me. We both walked out of the room with tears.

Kirstie: I can't do this Avi, I just can't.

Avi: It's okay, Kirstie.

Avi P O V

     I was trying to cheer Kirstie up. But it was hard to do when I was crying myself. We stayed out for a couple of minutes. Then we went back in.

     We looked everywhere. We looked in drawers, the closet, her bathroom, and even found some on the window sill.

     Six minutes later we finally went through everything. There were over fifty blades in her room. "Why would she do this?" I cried. I walked out of the room again. I'm just a mess.

Scott P O V

     There were about fifty blades. Everyone was in shock. We needed to keep a closer eye on her. We decided to put cameras all over the house.

     Two hours later Faith came back with Lindsey. Lindsey dropped her off. "Thank you, Lindsey" I heard her say. Faith walked in the door. I saw Avi hold back his tears and forced a smile.

Avi: Hey Faith. Did you have fun?

Faith: Yea, she took me to a movie. Then she took me out to eat. Then the carnival was in town. Thank you guys for letting me go with her.

Esther P O V

     She was so happy. She gave everyone hugs. Then she said thank you. After Faith was done talking about her time with Lindsey she went up to her room. We got up and went into the basement where all the cameras were showing.

Faith P O V

     I had so much fun. I told everyone what I did today. I went up to my room, still so excited. I saw O'laf. I patted him on the head. O'laf and I went by the window. I opened the curtain. We both looked at the sun as it was going down.

     Not long after, I noticed something was missing. My blades. They're not on the window sill. I went to my drawers. I looked in. Nothing but clothes. I went in my closet, then the bathroom, and looked in-between the mattresses. "Who took my blades?" I whispered. I looked at O'laf. Then I remembered. I got more. The kitchen, the living room, all the bathrooms.

     I went into the kitchen. I opened the bottom drawer and looked under all the potholders. I knew it would be there.

Mitch P O V

     We watched the cameras while she was in her room. She was petting O'laf and looking out the window. She looks so happy. "Do you think she noticed yet?" Scott asked. It wasn't long before Scott's question was answered. She started looking around. We knew what she was looking for.

Kevin: It's not there, Faith.

Kirstie: Do u think she would ask us?

Esther: I doubt it.

     We saw her walk out of the room and into the kitchen. She opened the bottom drawer. We wondered why. She took out a blade. I heard Kirstie burst into tears. "Are you kidding me" I shouted. "They are all over the house" Avi cried.

     I couldn't take it anymore. I went out. "Mitch" Kevin yelled. I went into the kitchen. "Faith" I started. "Let me have the blade"

Faith: WHAT

Mitch: Let me have the blade. We know what you have been doing.

Scott: MITCHELL

Faith: YOU TOOK ALL MY BLADES? GIVE THEM BACK.

Mitch: NO

     I went over to her. I took the blade out of her hands. "GIVE IT BACK MITCH!!! ITS MINE" I got up on the table and held it high. She followed me on the table. I'm short. She started climbing like she does to get on Avi's back. I had tears falling down my face. Finally Avi stepped up and grabbed her. She tried to fight him. I went to sit on the couch.

     Few minutes later we thought everyone calmed down. Avi let go of Faith. She walked to the couch. She put her hand in the cushion and pulled out another blade. I got up. She ran. We both got out the door. I grabbed her. "GET OFF OF ME MITCH. YOU ARE NOT MY FATHER OR MY MOTHER." I froze for two seconds. Then She slapped me and got away.
