Chapter 8 Adopted by Pentatonix

Esther P. O. V

     I can tell Avi was nervous more than anybody else. We walked in and I saw this woman yelling at a girl. She stopped immediately when she saw us. "Hello, welcome to the home orphanage for girls." She said that like nothing was happening. "How may I help you?" "We would like to adopt a young girl," I said with out hesitation.

Avi P. O. V

     While Esther and the woman were talking I looked at the skinny girl who was getting yelled at. I told Esther that I want her.

Faith P. O. V

     I was surprised when the bearded man said that. I heard Ms. Tono say to the people: "You don't want her. There are a lot of better girls in the other room." I spoke up and told them "You should take my cousin. She is 5, I'm 8."

Esther P. O. V

     I can tell that this woman is mean to these girls. I was with Avi when he said he wanted to take that girl. But then she told us to take her cousin. I was going to ask if we could meet her, but instead I got interrupted by Avi and he said "No, I want to adopt you." "I thought I was going to do all the talking," I thought to myself. "Fine" the woman said with anger. "Faith, go pack your stuff and get ready to go....... home."

Faith P. O. V

     I cannot believe it. After two years, I was getting adopted. When I told my cousin Sofia, she burst into tears. I couldn't help but hug her. I was crying too.

     When I was finished packing I went downstairs, with Sofia behind me, to tell them I was ready. I walked out the door with the two people. I turned around and saw Sofia who was still crying, and Ms. Tono with the meanest look on her face. We got outside and I was scared all over again. At the same time I was singing "Joy to the World" in my head.
