It was about two days after that kiss. I had slept my usual three hours and I was up bright and early working out. I was outside while everyone was asleep. I had my legs over one of the pull up bars. It was high up so I had to be careful since I am short after all. I rested my arms over my chest and forced my body upright doing sit ups. It was challenging since I was six feet off the ground and using my legs to hold me up. It wasn't so bad when you first get started.

I had started to sweat after I counted fifty sit ups in my head. I kept going choosing not to stop. I hit a hundred in a little less than an hour of this work out. I grabbed the bar and slid my legs off doing a small back-flip to the ground. I took a deep breath and stretched out my now sore body. I wiped the sweat off my forehead with the back of my hand and grabbed a cloth wrapping it over my shoulders. I rubbed my arm walking inside. I glanced around and headed to the dining area. It took me a few minutes to make the black tea I love. I sat down and poured myself a cup. Hearing footsteps enter the room, I reached over and grabbed my knife only to spot Erwin. I sighed in relief and removed my hold on the blade.

"Want some tea?" I spoke up and Erwin nodded taking a seat by my. I poured him a cup and took a sip of mine. "Couldn't sleep?"

"Nope. I couldn't stay asleep. What about you, Levi?" Erwin picked up his glass and took a drink of it, not even minding the burning liquid going down his throat.

"Since when do I ever sleep more than three hours? Never. I had a flashback of something and it woke me up. Decided to work out and drink some tea before finding something to do." I muttered softy and took a second sip of the tea.

Erwin nodded and set his cup down. "You seemed.... happy these past few days.. You know I can tell your mood changes. You don't have to tell me what it's about but I like seeing you without the weight of the world on your shoulders."

I glanced at him and set my own cup down. "Aa, so desu.. I have been happy.. on the inside that is. I don't show it. I started to fall for someone is all. She makes me feel something I have never felt...." Erwin had raised a brow as I spoke. "Her long legs. Strength.." I had stopped myself and took a sip of the tea. My commander had done a soft chuckle in the back of his throat.

"She must have you lost in her. I'm glad to see you're doing well." He took the last drink of tea. "I'm going to look over some paperwork. I'll be in my office if you need something." Erwin stood and poured himself another glass of tea before laying a hand on my head and walking out to his office. I watched him go not even going to complain about him touching my hair. I got used that affection from him. I took the tea and my cup to my quarters and curled up in my chair to just read.

When it came time for everyone to be up and ready for the expedition. I was the first one down to get my horse saddled and ready to go. I glanced around at everyone who had just finished eating. I pulled on my cloak and pushed myself up into the saddle. I straddled the rough leather and adjusted my seating a little with my feet in the stirrups. I noticed Eren giving me a dirty look at a distance. I ignored it and glanced at Mikasa who was walking to me.

"Ohayoo Heichou." She smiled wishing me a good morning. I only nodded and she grabbed me by my own scarf pulling me down just a little. I was caught off guard and clung to my horse as Mikasa kissed me. I froze before closing my eyes and returning the kiss. We broke apart and I pressed a kiss to her cheek making her cheeks blush some. 

"Hi Mikasa. Morning." I only gave a slight smile. Wasn't much but it was something. "Did you sleep well?" I wanted to continue the conversation.

"I slept okay. You?" She glanced up at me and petted my horse's muzzle. The mount only whinnied softly at her touch.
