He had a red 4WD truck. Mud, Dirt and Grime was slashed against his outer edge. He rushed in front of me to hold out the door. Clambering I was surprised the inside was super neat and well maintained with comfortable chairs. Turning on the engine he gave a happy nod with approval as it purrs to life.
"Well?" He shrugs
"Well what?"
"Is the carriage fine enough for you my lady?" Adding a fake hat tip.
I bite my lip trying not to smile. But unfortunately a giggle escaped into the quiet cab.
"Is Miss Kayla laughing at the big bad hulk?" He pouted.
"Why, is the Hulk proud?" I shot back.
"Maybe the Hulk is a little confused due to no education towards Miss's."
I sat there trying to make up a witty remark but was a little dumbfounded that he took our little joke to heart. I didn't notice my frown until he started to poke my infuriating wrinkles that made ridges on my forehead.
"What's the matter Kaz?" He chuckled.
"Say that again." I blurted out.
"Say what, Kaz?" A smile played on his lips clearly amused with the sudden interest.
"Hmmmmm" I sigh.
"Kaz it is then, I must have chosen well! We could star in a book, 'Adventures of the Hulk and side kick Kaz!' What do you think?"
"Only a side kick!!! Wow I think I could give you and your big boy muscles a run for there money!"
"I'm flattered, you have taken noticed of these puppy's!" He flexes them trying to tempt more admiration.
"Trust me my guns would put your so called puppy's to shame." I smirk.
"Are you challenging me?" Hint of flirtation played in his voice.
"Oh you can pull up here, this is my house." I start to ready myself
He pulls up gently without a word. I'm about to pull the door open except he protests by jumping out and opening it himself.
"We will have to take up that challenge some other time." He saddens as he walks me to the porch.
"Deal!" I add extra excitement to try and brighten his spirits. He's about to say something except the front door swings open and my face turns instant tomato red.
"Well your home early!" Then she turns and notices Oliver. "Kayla where are your manners, aren't you going to introduce me to this charming young boy on my front porch?" She gives him the once over as if trying to understand a different species.
"Oh yes, Mum I would like you to meet my new friend who just moved here Oliver." His blue pools of eyes glistens and he pulls out his hand to shake.
"Nice to meet you Miss EverFall!"
"Oh I approve, what a gentleman! You say by to Oliver and I will pop inside and put the jug on. Unless Oliver would like to stay for supper?" Her eyes fill with so much hope it could strangle the world.
"Oh no, but thank you very much for the offer. I better be going if I want to get some rugby practice in tomorrow."
Mum gives a warm understanding smile as she scurries away.
"Well what an amusing night!" His eyes sparkle in the moonlight with laughter that played on his lips. I bite my lip trying to distract my thoughts. As if I'm the prey the predator catches the slight movement and starts to carelessly lick his perfect lips to keep them moist. He edges forward centimetres from my face. He ducks down and plants a sweet divine everlasting kiss on my now perfect lips. His hands glide to cushion my body against his. My arms float upwards wrapping them around his neck pulling him closer breathing him in for the first time. I almost cry out for more as he pulls away for air.
"I see you have read my hints in the truck."
"What, you mean those sticky notes on the dash board." I giggle with pleasure. "Message received"
He lets go, sitting me back on my feet and grinning.
"We can't kiss all night darling, you might decide to trap me in your basement or something." Grinning against my lips. Giving me one last peck he says his farewell as he swaggers back to the truck.
I close the door behind me and make way towards my room.
"I didn't realise my daughter worked so fast!" I froze.
