We pull up to her gorgeous mansion. I hear the gravel move like waves under the tires, swishing and churning the rocks up.
We had finished gilding to a halt outside her mansion. The building always somehow took my breath away. It sat by the sea, a strong smell of salt wafted through the air, cleansing my nostrils.
The appeal of the house caught my attention into a trace.
That's until I realise Tilly had already exited the car and grabbed my bag."Yea, yea, I know I'm gorgeous. But I want a friend today not a statue." She laughed as she swayed away, with her hips moving at the beat to her heart.
I unbuckle and pull myself out of the car to follow Tilly. Her butler was waiting at the door for our needs. His name was Caleb, the best one in the house due to his humorous jokes and antics. (And youngest with his body flaunting all over the place)
"Hey Till!" He ruffled her hair in playfulness. I didn't realise until that moment that they actually act more like siblings.
"Woah, woah! Don't touch the merchandise!" Tilly teases as she batts his hands away.
"Welcome back Kayla!" He high-five me as I see sweat dripping off his forehead.
"What no sexy swim suits to give our ladies eye candy." I smirk in playfulness.
"Sadly it's just this black prison for me. But it is handy in the winter!" He smiles and laughs, motioning to his suit.
"You know that wasn't part of the job Caleb! Go change so us girls won't have to smell you!" She giggles as she raises his armpits, revealing a faint wet stain underneath.
Caleb looking sheepish walks hastily away, clearly embarrassed by our finds.
"What no door open? I'll be putting a word into the manager!" She calls as humour hangs in the air.
Tilly then swings the door open to her luxurious mansion. Her canvas white walls, the furniture placing and artwork that hangs was just to perfection!
We trudge up the pure white circular stairs to her pearl room. Expensive perfume engulfed me immediately, creating a tickle at the back of my throat.
"Hurry up bae, get your skimpy bikini on so we can tan!" She tried to act like a posh girl, but I couldn't take her seriously! She's completely nothing like that. That's why we are friends.
I giggle as we tug and pull ourselves into our bikinis, and applied our sun screen for a less fatal burn.
///////////////////////////////We strut outside and let the sea salty air purify us. Tilly immediately makes her way over to the two lounge chairs sitting under the shade umbrella. Plopping her pink fluffy towel on her chosen seat she sets off at a sprint.
Coming to the edge Tilly flips perfectly letting her body slide into the water. She lets herself be pulled down like an anchor, then kicks back up. I watch her as beads of water burst away from one another to clear space. Then she lets out an insane cry of joy and laughter. What a beautiful sound!
She just laughs like a maniac, diving into the pure water again. I just go to the side and dangle my legs in. I let the water massage my legs with the lapping of the waves. I watch on thinking that; I wish I was fearless like Tilly!
While Tilly is clearly enjoying the water, Caleb comes to my rescue. Caleb had changed into suitable wear, of beach clothes and flip flops. He bounds over to me in some weird skip. Caleb had my usual pineapple juice with a nice candy umbrella.
"I could tell you needed it!" Caleb said in a knowing look.
"You have no idea!" I sigh in relief , as the liquid races up the straw to soothe my throat. "Mmmm." I moan in pure ecstasy of the flavour. Getting up, I make my way over to the seats, for a cool down.
I let the sun kiss my skin, tainting it with a peachy colour. I pop my sunglasses on to protect me from the harsh rays.
"Yo Kayla!" Tilly giggles and shouts. "Are you having a drink without me!" Looking appalled she races over.
"We'll it was courtesy of Caleb the great himself." I tease. "Plus, it's pineapple. My favourite." I swear Tilly's eyes literally popped. Like burst from her face with jealousy, hurt and humour. (Well I hope humour)
"No he didn't."
"Oh yes he did."
"Caleb!" Tilly tells with such force I am surprised.
"Yea Till?" Caleb teases.
"Are you cheating on me with Kayla? I'm so heart broken! I thought we promised never to lie to each other?" Tilly says in a sarcastic tone that was over dramatic.
"Me? For all I've done is made a drink for Miss Kayla." Caleb plays along in a royal tone. "What should I do to make up for it?" Sympathy seeps through the cracks in his voice'
"Oh, I thought you would never ask!" Tilly says sweetly. "Pineapple juice with a touch of my secret ingredient would do." Tilly brushes off.
"Yes princess." Caleb bows and chuckles while scurrying off. Clearly amused by the performance Tilly had made.
"Seriously Tilly? Is that all performing arts taught you?"
Tilly's eyebrows raised in challenge. "That and how to get free stuff from stores!" She pokes a face, making it a clear joke.
"Well at least school has taught you something!" I sigh.
We then burst out laughing that we couldn't contain any longer. That's until Caleb comes out to deposit her drink.
"Thanks!" Tilly says while tears of laughter still spread down her cheeks.
I could smell vodka in the air. so I tracked it with my nose. The test worked, except I had came to an abrupt stop in front of Tilly's colourful drink. She gives me a small smile, trying to play the innocent look. I just stare her down with an eyebrow raised.
"Tilly?" I ask sternly.
"What? You got out of bed at 3 o'clock! It's not a morning drink for me." Tilly blurts out, as she squirms under pressure.
"Oh Tilly!" I shake my head.
