*Natalie's POV*
Today me and mar are going to the hospital. It's very nerve racking. Beauty agreed to watch the kids. She thinks we're going to run errands. We are driving in silence. The radio isn't even on.
"Baby" he broke the silence
"Yes"
"What did the doctors originally say"
"It might be lung cancer"
"Is it from being around me when I was smoking "
"I don't know" well I'm pretty sure it is from being around all that smoke.
"Baby maybe you don't have cancer; and it's a false alarm"
"Mar, just please I like the silence" I sighed
"Sorry" he shut up
I don't mean to sound like a bitch but this silence is nice. It allows me to think about things. We finally pulled up to the hospital. I broke out into a coughing fit. The first in awhile. I've been wheezing a lot lately but not coughing.
"You good" mar looked at me
"Get me inside" I said in between coughs. He picked me up and rushed me inside. I kept coughing the whole time. He handed me a napkin and I coughed up blood.
"Baby" he handed me water
"Thank you, but you know this is a sign" I took a sip of water
"Don't say that" he walked off to get me another napkin. When he returned he looked like a different man.
"Are you okay" I asked him
"No" he coldly said. I Shutup. I didn't say another word until they said my name.
"Hello Mrs.Davis" the doctor shook my hand
"Cut the bull doc does she have cancer" Mar rudely said
"Amari" I snapped
"Well we didn't come here for small talk" he sat down
"Well doc he's right" I twirled my thumbs. The doctor put his head down before he spoke
"Nooo" mar screamed. I started crying cause I already knew what he was going to say. He didn't even have to say it. He just looked at me with sympathy in his eyes.
"Will I live" I asked
"I believe we caught it early enough that there's a 54% chance"
"That's not good enough" Mar snapped
"What can be done"
"There is an assortment of treatments and the sooner we start the better"
"Yeah, well when can she start" mar rudely said
"Well I'll schedule an appointment" the doctor cleared his throat
"Okay" I walked out of the examination room and into the lobby. After getting my new appointment we left.
"Damn" Mar hit the steering wheel
"Baby" I tried to touch him but he tensed up
"It's my fault" he yelled
"No it's not baby" I cried
"Look Natalie yes, it is my fault. I smoked around you"
"Mar I smoked too"
"What" he got angry
"Not weed but cigarettes" I coughed
"What the hell" he yelled
"Look Mar, do you see how much stress I be under. I have to take care 4 kids while my boyfriend who's too scared of commitment is out selling drugs" I snapped
"You know what you always put this on me" he snapped
"Who is it on Mar, you need to stop and think about shit. Mar I'm going to die. That's clear. You've gotten better but at a time where it's too late" I snapped
"You act like I'm not there for my kids"
"You're not Amari"
We argued up until we got into the yard. He got out of the car and slammed the door. I slowly entered the house after him.
"What's all the yelling" Beauty stood up holding Amaria.
"Oh nothing" I lied
"Well this chunk a munk hasn't had a nap yet" she lifted Amaria up in her arms
"Why not" I took Amaria
"She wouldn't fall asleep"
"Where's the boys"
"The twins are napping, Jaheim is outback"
"Thank you for watching them" I hugged her
"I love my niece and nephews"
"Hey B" Amari walked in with Jaheim on his back
"Hey Amari" she waved
"How's life"
"Good, hey do you remember Shatifia"
"My mom" Jaheim lit up
"Oh uh yeah" she scratched the back of her neck
"Heim go upstairs" mar put him down and he ran upstairs
"Okay so what about Shatifia"
"Her and Jason arent dead and they came to my house"
"What" he raised his eyebrows
"Hold on" I sat down
"Jason wants to know Diva"
"Okay but what about tifia"
"She didn't say much"
"You do know she killed Marisa"
"No, does Dallas"
"He suspects"
"Damn well I agreed to let him see her"
"What" I'm shocked
"We'll be strapped and prepared for anything"
"Hmm okay" i looked at her sideways
"Well I gotta get going, thank you for this information about Marisa" she was about to leave.
"Beauty I have cancer" I blurted out
