*Beauty's POV*

How could I have been so stupid. Why didn't I know he was a cop. The hair cut proves it. Why didn't he change first. I walked out to greet him.

"Officer" I smiled

"Yeah, I know I should've told you about the whole cop thing" he smiled

"Dallas isn't happy" I told him

"How about I leave my badge in the car" he shrugged

"Sounds good, where's Shatifia"

"She's home, she wasn't feeling well"'

"Oh, I hope she feels better" I smiled

"Hey B, thanks again" he smiled while taking off his police shirt. He had a tank top on underneath but I could clearly see that being a cop whipped him into shape.
"Hey B, can you get my bag out of the trunk" he asked while putting his gun in the car. I walked and got his bag.

"Thanks" he smiled. I just stood there like an idiot admiring his body. Wait no what am I doing. Then I felt my cheeks get rosy red and start burning. I hid my face and walked off. Woo I almost did something I would've regretted. I walked in the back and walked up to Dallas.

"Hey baby did you handle Jason" He whispered

"Yes he's changing" I kissed Dallas's ear

"Ha, you weirdo" he pushed my head

"But I'm your weirdo" I walked away. Jason walked in the backyard.

"Okay so Jason, I know you want to meet Diva but I don't know how to explain you to her" I pulled him aside

"What did you tell her about me" he raised his eyebrows

"I didn't know what to tell her at first, she was 3 when she first asked but how do you tell a 3 year old that her father abandoned her; I just told her that you went away but you'll be back" I looked deep into his hazel eyes

"I'm sorry Naomi" He rested his hand on my shoulder

"Why didn't you believe me" I asked him

"Well I didn't want it to be true; I wanted to believe Des was telling the truth" he scratched the back of his head

"You knew I loved you"

"Naomi, I loved you too but I was young and dumb I wasn't ready for a family" he sighed

"All those lies Desmond said about me you believed every lie" I fought back tears

"Maybe I should go" he turned to leave

"No; stay, you want to be here for her now so do that" I pointed to Diva across the yard and he walked over to her.

I slowly made my way towards Nevaeh. I walked up to her and just stared.

"Hey you're the man from the mall" she smiled

"Yeah that's me" I smiled. She has my smile. My mom said she had my curly hair but I think that's Naomi's curly genes.

"Why are you at my little brother's birthday party" she raised her eyebrows and put her hand on her hip. I didn't know how to respond when Naomi walked over.

"Hey Div, let's go in the house real quick" She picked her up and escorted me into the house. Dallas was standing in the living room.

"Okay so baby remember when I said your father went away and he'll be back well he's back" Naomi smiled and pointed to me
