Number 44 - Enzo

"We need to distract him." Stefan sighed.

"How? He won't leave Lilly's side. There's no way to convince him." Bonnie replied

"What if we don't convince him, but we just pour a bucket of vervain over him." Damon chirped up.

This discussion had been held many times in the Salvatore home.

"Guys"

No one paid attention.

"Guys! Listen to me right now" You yelled.

"I know how to distract him."

"Well tell us"

"Enzo doesn't know I'm back. I'll talk to him, he'll listen and if all else fails I'll inject some vervain into his blood stream and you guys can torture him onto our side."

"Wow Y/N. Finally a good idea" Damon said sarcastically.

"Go fuck yourself Damon"

"Why should I when I have you to do that for me?"

"Really Damon? You're flirting now?" Caroline exclaimed.

Damon shrugged and you rolled your eyes. You took out your phone and called him.

"Yes hello?" Enzo said bored

"Enzo?"

"Y/N?"

"Yeah, listen I just came back into town and there is literally nobody here. Can I meet you in the woods, our spot in about 10 minutes?"

"Yes, of course."

"I'll see you then, bye"

You cut the line.

"See how easy it was" You said flicking your hair.

"Yeah yeah well done." Damon replied.

Stefan handed you a metal syringe.

"Just in case."

You smiled and nodded. and walked to the door.

"Good luck!" They all called.

You gave a thumbs up before using your super speed and getting to the woods where you saw a waiting Enzo.

"I couldn't wait" He admitted.

"Neither could I" You replied.

"So where is everyone?"

"Damon's mother, also my sire, is back with her merry band of heretics. Therefore to protect the humans, a town wide evacuation was called"

"Well, why aren't you with them?"

"Ahh, you see I'm not on their side."

"Well, then we're on opposite teams."

"What?! Y/n you need to leave right now. It is too dangerous for you to be here."

"No, I'm going to save this town and if that means that I'm fighting against you then so be it. That is unless you change sides."

"Y/N!! You know I can't do it. Please just leave."

"Enzo, I came back looking for you. I came back to this town to find you are in some turf war between you and my best friends."

"Well then look you've found me and I'm not the same Enzo so why don't you just go far away from Mystic Falls."

"I'm not leaving."

"You have it, it's not safe here."

"No!"

" I'm always drawn to Mystic Falls because it's where I met you. In this exact spot you tried to drain my blood and I kicked your ass. If I leave I'll come back, maybe when your sire bitch has a million of these heretics-"

"I'm not good for you"

"Here you go with this I'm not good for you bullshit. Will you just accept that I am hopelessly in love with you and there is nothing you can that will change that? Accept that I will wait however long I need for you to decide when you're good enough for me."

"You love me? But you treated me like I was your brother"

"Would I do this to my brother?"

You grabbed Enzo's face and pulled him onto a kiss. You had been waiting forever for this moment and it was finally happening.

Enzo pulled away.

"Well I don't know I mean some people are pretty messed up. I knew some pretty fucked up siblings in the 18th century" He mumbled.

"Oh shut up"

"Make me"

You raised and eyebrow and he pulled you into another kiss. This kiss felt wrong. You were kissing the person that could potentially get you killed. You stopped kissing him and rested your forehead on his.

"This is going to ruin the mood, but I'm here to give you an ultimatum. It's me or Lilly"

He pulled away.

"You can't do this to me"

"Believe me, I don't want to, but I have to. And by your reaction, I can only guess who you're choosing. Goodbye Enzo"

"Y/N!" But it was too late, you had already left.

You were sat on a bed in the Salvatore house. After a few hours of convincing everyone you were fine, you finally were allowed to leave their company. You were reading a book that Shakespeare had given Stefan.

You heard a rustling coming from outside your window. There was someone downstairs. Then the person threw some pebbles at your window, you walked over to it and opened the window. There was no one there so when you turned around you saw him

"Why are you here Enzo?"

"I choose you. Y/N I choose you"

You smiled up at him before hugging him.

"I love you Y/N"

"I love you too Enzo"
