It has been three months since one of your best friends killed the love of your life. Three months since she pulled out your heart and ripped a whole chunk out of it. It has been hell. You haven't heard his voice, felt his touch, smelt his cologne, all because of Elena Gilbert.

She's come over to your house, apologetic, bringing you food and groceries as a good will gesture, you saw it for what it was, guilt. Jeremy was the smarter out of the siblings and he stayed away from you. Ever since you had been turned by Rebekah you had an air of badassery about you, your newfound fangs made you a lot more confident, therefore it scared him to think what you would do to him in an act of revenge.

You were sitting on your bed, surrounded with memories of Kol when you saw a picture of you, Elena and Kol. Your blood boiled.

It came to your realisation that you shouldn't keep letting your anger simmer deep inside, you should let it boil over and unleash itself onto Elena Gilbert. And that was what you did.

That night, you dressed up in all black and asked Elena to meet you in a cafe, you wanted to 'leave the house since it wasn't doing you any good sitting there being depressed' and she jumped at the chance of it.

You got to the cafe earlier than her and sat by the window, your vision had enhanced and you could see things from a further distance. It looked like she came alone, but you weren't going to do anything unless you made sure.

You heard the jingle of the bell on the door of the cafe and in walked Elena, she had the hugest smile on her face, which you reciprocated with a small fake smile.

"Y/N! I'm so happy you wanted to meet me."

"It's fine, I just wanted out of that house"

"That's what I told Stefan and Damon, they wanted to come with me in case you tried to kill me, but I convinced them that you wouldn't."

"Of course not, you did what you had to do."

You made small talk until she decided what drink she wanted. She asked for a large hot chocolate and you went up and ordered two. In her drink, you poured a concoction that Kol had made by some witches, it removed and the trace of vervain in a human's system and it also made the person very light-headed so that they would faint, and took it back to your table. From your handbag, you took out a vial of blood and tipped the contents into your mug. She scrunched her face at it.

"What? It makes it a whole lot easier to swallow."

She laughed and took a sip of her hot chocolate.

"Wow, this tastes so good, I should come here more often."

You laughed.

"I used to come here when I was studying, the food here is great and it's run by a friend of mine so she made sure I got a hot chocolate every hour to keep me going."

"So, what are your plans now? I mean you could come to Whitmore, with us."

"I think I'm done with the whole studying thing, I'll probably go and do some travelling. It's a lot easier to travel as a vampire I've found. Who knows, maybe in 400 years I'll go back to it but not right now."

After a while, she had finished her hot chocolate.

"Wow, it's really stuffy in here."

"Do you wanna go out and grab a bit of fresh air?"

She nodded and you grabbed your handbag and lead her outside.

You took her to your car and told her to sit down while you pretended to find some water.
