Hey.

Bet you are wondering why you're here.

Because you wanted to hear my story. It's quite a good story, really. It gets quite confusing at times, trust me.

If you are here, you have obviously read this thing called "Homestuck". Now, I'm no Homestuck expert, but I got the basis. This takes place AFTER all that shiz. Let's get on with my book now.

My name is Dena. But do NOT call me that. I will stab you through with my Katana. Call me Dee.

I woke up on a sunny morning. Not. Not every story is perfect you know. It was actually quite cloudy. No rain, though. The bed creaked as I stood up. I tried not to wake Andrew, the person I share a room with. He was actually quite a jerk. He turned in his sleep.

"Die you filthy mutant blood," He muttered, half asleep.

I looked at him puzzled, and realized he was dreaming. I left the room, putting my sunglasses on. I trudged down the stairs in my pajamas.

I wear sunglasses for a reason. I'm not just a hipster.

Ok I'm a hipster, BUT. I wear them also because of my eyes. They are quite strange. Bright mint green. Not dull, or just green. Bright mint.

I didn't want Dallas all over again, so I hid my eyes. I quite liked Houston.

I grabbed a bowl of Reese Puffs and a bottle of Grape Juice. I scarfed it down and went back upstairs. Andrew was out of bed and downstairs, so I got dressed. A mint green baseball-style tee with a pair of headphones on it, and skinny jeans. My mirror shades had a teal tint to them, so it matches my shirt. I tied my black converse and styled my white blonde hair in a deep side part, and covered it with a grey beanie. My hair was very long, because the orphanage was to cheap to pay for haircuts more than a quick trim. It went a bit past my waist. It was a pain to wash.

I opened the bedroom door and ran into Andrew. I glared at him. I walked around him when he refused to move out of my way, and went outside the orphanage, into the backyard.

I climbed into the tree in the back, and sat on a low branch. High enough to be safe, but no one could reach me. I plugged on my headphones and played Amsterdam by Imagine Dragons.

The word had a deep meaning to me. I had apparently been abandoned by my parents when I was 2. They didn't love me anymore. I also had more of a family. I knew. I remembered two boys. Just faintly. One had red eyes. Other had Amber. I wish I knew who they were. The song finished and Blue Lips by Regina Spektor came on. It was one of my favorites, despite most songs I like are more Punk Rock than like this one.

I got to the chorus, then the pinecone hit me. It wasn't much, but it still hurt.

I decided to take it as a sign to go inside. I jumped from the branch and walked back to my room. I knew for a fact that Andrew would be in the computer room on a laptop working on whatever the hell he does. I pulled out my phone and checked YouTube to see if anyone had posted. I saw that no one I liked had. I put my phone down again and just listened to music all day. I skipped lunch and went straight to dinner.

Kids and teens around the eating area chatted loudly. Tomorrow was Friday, adoption day. There was a few people coming to Adopt. I had been told. I had been here the longest, so I got good details on who was coming. There was word of two brothers coming. I don't know why they would, but Mrs. Marlowe, the owner of the orphanage, had told me they had been around to every orphanage in Texas, and we're looking for their sister. Chances were low of me getting adopted, since only one other family coming to Adopt.

It goes unsaid that I was not very excited.

I sat by myself at the corner table. Andrew sometimes sat with me, but I usually told him to go away. He was an Ass.

I ate quickly, and rushed up to change before Andrew finished. I changed into blue pajama shorts and a tank top. I opened the window to let some cold air in on the summer night. I pulled the sheets over me a d drifted off to sleep.
