"But why won't she wake up?"

The voices were familiar but she couldn't place her finger on where she'd heard it before. It was a female voice... Maybe, no it definitely was one she'd heard before, wait... That was her mum. Where was she?

"I'm afraid she just won't wake up, she's... Just refusing. She should have woken up by now but she just doesn't want to."

"Can't you wake her up?"

"This wasn't an induced coma. Forcing her awake could cause damage to her."

"Masumi, please wake up!"

That was right; Masumi was currently lying in a private hospital bed, Marie and Hiroto sat by her bedside, waiting and praying for her to wake up. The battle with Aurora-Aeon had made her lose blood, enough to make her collapse and need a transfusion.

Light and Luna were luckily okay, being one of the first things that Marie made them check when Masumi was given the all clear. Marie just sighing as she gently rubbed her daughters hand, in an attempt to get her to wake up.

"Hiroto... Where is he? Where's Dante in all of this, he should be here with her."

"I don't know sweetheart..."

"Do you think he's trapped? Whatever happened to Aurora... If that was Aurora Stryder, Hiroto... There was nothing left of her, she was mangled... Masumi was right next to her..."

"Marie, you can't worry about that, Masumi will tell us when she wakes up."

"But when is she going to wake up Hiroto? She might never wake up!" Marie raised her voice, Hiroto shaking his head.

"M-mum... Stop shouting..." Masumi forced out, hands twitching as she opened her eyes, glancing around the room, completely dazed. "W-where's... Dante?"

"We don't know, we couldn't find him."

"He's still trapped in the demon world... Aeon trapped him there."

Marie and Hiroto just glanced at each other as the older man rose from his chair to fetch a nurse to check over Masumi, the young woman closing her eyes. She wanted to see him again; she wanted to see Dante again more than anything else in the world.

She wanted him to come home.

Dante's point of view

"So you're awake?"

My eyes opened to find Kiki staring over me, a frown on her lips as she moved away. I forced myself up, looking around to find myself in a hotel room. She brushed her blonde hair behind her ears then threw my coat at me.

"Get ready, Masumi's in hospital. You both almost levelled the business district, you absolute dick." She shook her head as I pushed myself off the bed, shrugging the coat on.

"What do you mean?"

"Do you remember anything? Like, at all?"

"Last thing... I was trapped in the demon world and a bright light swamped me... Next thing I woke up here."

Kiki rolled her eyes at me, rubbing the back of her neck before shrugging her shoulders. "You fell out of a portal in here, collapsed on the floor. You were out cold until now, no idea why you wouldn't wake up, it was like you were in a coma."

"I see..." I lowered my head; I needed to get to Masumi as soon as possible.

"Look, I know you want to see Masumi, come on, let's go."
