"Oh no, they did not just interrupt our Top Model!" Bianca muttered.
"I think they don't realize what they just did. Poor boys. Poor, poor boys," I said with fake sadness and we laughed.
"What did we do then girls?" Daniel asked, smiling down at us and they walked towards us. When they stood right in front of us, they bent down, Daniel's mouth inches from mine, same with Alec and Bianca.
Bianca and I trembled, reading the desire in their eyes, expecting the kiss that would make us feel like we were flying, but knowing that it would never come. Chuckling, Daniel placed his hands on either side of my head, resting against the back of the couch. Too entranced with my mate, I could only assume Alec was doing the same to Bianca.
"Hey, Daniel, I think we got them. We've found their weak spots," Alec whispered and I snapped out of it. I ducked out from under Daniel's arms and stood, spinning to face him. Smiling, he stalked me and I backed up with each step he took, but soon enough found myself pressed up against the wall. He took the last step towards me and put his hands on either side of me, next to my shoulders.
"I think you're right Alec. For once, they can't do anything back. We now have the upper hand," Daniel said loudly, his breath brushing across the skin on my neck since his face was bent down next to mine.
"No," I announced and closed my eyes.
"Ana," Daniel growled and I knew that I was glowing again.
"Yes?" I asked him innocently and opened my eyes, looking right into his green ones. His hands dropped to his sides and I edged closer to him, my body an inch from his. Smiling at him, I watched the struggle on his face, he was trying to resist me, but his desire was roaring in him, and I doubted he could resist me when I was so close to him.
"Don't," he growled and clamped his eyes shut, his jaw clenching and his hands turning to fists.
I took this moment to look over at Bianca and saw her also standing an inch from Alec and her body pulsed with the golden glow. His eyes were staring above her head and he was struggling not to touch her and she looked over me.
"We win," we said at the same time and stepped away from them, letting our glows fade and we walked back to the kitchen. Bianca called over her shoulder, "As long as our minds keep working, we will always win."
Once inside the kitchen, I closed the sound-proof shutters and looked at her. Her eyes were wide and she was leaning on the island counter, her elbows on the marble and her hands cupping her face. I walked around the island to join her as we stared at the door leading to the living room.
"That was too close," I whispered and she nodded.
"I nearly gave in," she admitted and covered her face with her hands.
"Me too," I said softly. She raised her head and looked at me, shock coloring her face.
"You almost gave in? But you're so strong. You've gotten this far, how could you have given in now?"
"I just couldn't stand having him so close and not being able to touch him."
"Ana, we still have two whole months ahead of us. We can't give in. It's too early. Even if we win, I get the feeling that someone, or all of us, will end up getting hurt."
"I know, but it's so hard when they're that close. I would have given in had they not started talking. That broke the spell I was under and cleared my head."
"Same. Ana, what if we fail?"
"We can't, we won't."
"Of course I'm being hypothetical right now."
"Well then hypothetically, we'd be-"
I was interrupted by the door swinging open. Daniel and Alec walked in, their faces set and they sat in the stools across from us. There was silence for the longest time and my stomach rumbled, cutting through the air. Laughing, I spun around and grabbed a soda from the fridge and pulled out the bag of grapes.
"We give up," The boys said in sync. Bianca and I blinked at them, looked at each other then looked back at them.
"So you guys admit that you're weak-willed?" Bianca asked.
"What? No!" Daniel exclaimed and I raised my eyebrows.
"Well you gave up, that proves that you are," I said and shrugged, popping another grape into my mouth. "So to answer your question, Bianca, hypothetically, we can't fail. Not when we're up against these two."
"You're right," she said, and leaned her hip on the counter, looking at me. "They just give in to the conditions they asked for. How dumb is that?"
We shook our heads sadly, and I popped another grape into my mouth. The boys glared at us then stood up, walking around the island to tower above us. Giggling, we ate more grapes and jumped up onto the counter, dangling our legs over the edge.
"We are not weak," Daniel growled, leaning towards me. I laid my hands on the counter's edge and leaned forward. His mouth was less than an inch from mine.
"Prove it," I whispered and he growled.
"I will. I'm back in this little game you've made it into."
"Me too," Alec whispered.
"Whatever, you were the ones to make it into a game anyways," I said, and turned my head, to look at Bianca, exposing the skin of my neck to Daniel. "I think we need to make them give in for good."
"And how do you suppose we do that?"
"Well, we are going shopping in two days. We can stop in Victoria's Secret," I said calmly. She laughed and the boys froze, their hands clenching and unclenching. We watched them, eyebrows raised, until finally Alec spoke.
"No," he growled. "That's low, that's really low."
"That's unacceptable," Daniel growled and I looked at him.
"How is it low or unacceptable? We're simply treating ourselves to new pajamas," Bianca said, leaning back on her hands, watching amusedly as the boys glared down at us.
"No," Daniel snarled and I laughed. He leaned closer to me and stared me down, his eyes boring into mine, causing me to freeze. Placing his hands behind me, he leaned forward, a taunting smirk on his face, and my breathing stopped.
"Ana," Bianca said, breaking the spell. I blinked then looked over at her, smiling. "What kind of bikini do you think would compliment me?"
"I'm not sure, but that's why we have Courtney," I said, and hopped down from the counter, sending Daniel scrambling backwards in his attempt to refrain from touching me. Stretching my hands over my head, I arched my back, exposing my belly and then dropped my arms.
"Yeah, I'm tired too," Bianca said and slid down from the counter. She looped her arm through mine and we walked out of the room, leaving the boys staring after us.
