---------- 3 weeks later ---------------

It was the beginning of May (Remember guys, England has notoriously bad weather – just saying – A) and I had a few more weeks before exam season started. The only thing getting me through such a stressful and drawn out time was the prospect of being able to watch as much anime as I wanted once it ended. I sighed, wishing the year was finally over as I sat in the confined classroom, waiting for the end of the lesson. I was studying [Course] but I still didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted to do with my life. I stared out the window, watching the sombre clouds drift sluggishly through the dull sky as I began to zone out of reality.

[F/n] nudged my elbow and I jumped, staring wide eyed with a questioning look. "[Name]. Answer the question. Or is this lesson really not worth your attention?" Mrs [T/n] spoke icily, her glare matching that of Medusa's. "Um, I..." My eyes danced around the room as I quickly tried to improvise an answer. Nothing came to mind and I hung my head in shame, replying, "Sorry, Miss. I wasn't listening." She shook her head and tutted, her disappointed stare made my cheeks burn red with embarrassment. The bell rang and the mood immediately shifted as everyone sprang into action, eager to escape. 'Thank goodness it's lunchtime.' I breathed a sigh of relief as I shuffled out of the room, [F/n] trailing behind me. "What's up [Name]? You seem really out of it recently." [F/n] asked with concern. I tried to force a smile but her facial expression read that she wasn't buying my façade. "I don't really know, I guess it's just that annoying time of the year where we've finished our coursework and all we're doing now is revision sessions. It's just really dragging on..." I trailed off. 'That must be the reason. I wonder what Arthur's doing now?'

"[Name]. [Name]! Hey!" [F/n] waved her hand in front of my face.

"Wha! O-Oh, sorry. I did it again didn't I?" I grinned sheepishly. [F/n] smirked at me. I raised an eyebrow. "What?" I said suspiciously.

"Who's Arthur?" She replied with fake innocence laced in her voice as she smiled knowingly. 'Crap! I said that out loud?!' I blushed deeply and waved my hands desperately in denial of anything she could be thinking. "I-It's not anything! H-He's just a good friend of mine!" I mentally panicked as I felt my voice stuttering. [F/n] gasped and pulled my arm along with her as she ran towards our favourite lunch spot on the field. "OH MY GOSH [NAME]!!!" She shrieked at the stop of her lungs, excitement filling her voice as we ran.

As soon as we arrived at our spot, [F/n] forced me to sit down, giggling madly, and sat opposite me, her eyes glowing as she waited excitedly for what tales I had to tell. I smiled wryly, rubbing my temples in a slightly irked way. Though when I looked up at her, I couldn't help but chuckle at her childishness. "Sooooo, [Name]. Pray tell, what happened?" She spoke with a mock Shakespearian accent and I chuckled at her antics. "Ok, alright." I took a deep breath, and [F/n] stared expectantly at me. It was a little unnerving. "So, you know that day when it was raining and I missed the bus? It was a few weeks ago, I think." She nodded enthusiastically then sniggered.

"Oh! You sneaky little girl! You skipped class because you were with Arthur~" She sang his name and I blushed again. "Do you want to hear the whole story?" I spoke in mock seriousness. She immediately sat up straight, her lips held tightly shut.

I then proceeded with the story...

"So, do you like him? I mean he sounds like a complete dream-guy." She winked and I couldn't help but nod thoughtfully. You began to feel a little more encouraged by what she said and picked up the gossipy tone that she was using for fun. "You know what happened just before he walked back home?" [F/n] leaned in, her eyes shining with anticipation. "He kissed my hand!" We both squealed like school girls. It was one of the best feelings ever and I was reminded then how lucky I was to have such a trusted and loving friend like [F/n]. "Well now you have to date him!" She jested and giggled even more. "How old is he anyway? Details, details! You've barely described him to me!" I laughed again but then realised something myself. "[F/n]! I don't actually know how old he is! I mean, if I had to guess, I'd probably say around 25? But I really don't know." She looked a little disappointed but still beckoned me to continue describing him. "He has huge eyebrows."
