-------------------------

It was 8pm and Arthur still hadn't contacted me since I last saw him before lunch. 'I hope he's alright' I thought worriedly as I bit my lip. I couldn't even bring myself to watch anime, I was so worried. I lay on my bed, waiting for a sign, a sound, anything that would tell me that Arthur was ok. "[Name]! Come and get your washing," Mum called.

"Okay," I replied in monotone. I walked into my parent's bedroom where Mum was doing the ironing. "Thanks," I said as I picked up my clothes and walked back into my bedroom.

Ding

My eyes widened at the sound and I clumsily dropped my clothes on my bed. I quickly picked up my phone and clicked on the screen.

I growled at my phone and, in my frustration, lifted my arm to throw it at the wall. I stopped and restrained myself. 'That wouldn't end well' I thought, dropping my arm and sighing heavily.

"Du du du du du du du du du du du du du du du du du...SOME LEGENDS ARE TOLD!"

I jumped as my phone went off and I quickly answered it, forgetting to look at the contact. "Hello?" I said.

"Hello, [Name]," Arthur said. My heart began to race at the sound of his voice.

"Hi!" I replied. There was a pause. "Um...so, how did it go?" I asked. I face-palmed, realising how direct the question was. 'What if something bad happened?!' I thought, anxiously awaiting his reply. He sighed heavily. "You were right...it was hard..." He laughed a little and I smiled wryly as I waited for him to continue. "But, my brothers are willing to meet up with me next week," He said hopefully. I could hear his voice tremble on the line.

"That's great!" I smiled.

"Yeah, it is...the actual meet up was, um, very emotional," He breathed out a laugh.

"I can imagine," I said softly. Another pause. "Do you want to talk about it?" I asked nervously.

"Yeah, I...I'll start from the beginning."

Arthur's POV:

"Yeah, I...I'll start from the beginning."

~Flashback~

I parked the car in the restaurant car park and switched off the engine. My phone buzzed and I nervously clicked on the new message.

Dad: 'We're all here if you want to join us now'

Me: 'Thanks, I'll be there shortly'

I sighed heavily and squeezed my hands together anxiously, feeling cold sweat build up in my palms. 'I wish [Name] was here' I thought miserably. I frowned. 'Arthur, stop being a coward! Get out there and face your fears!' I scolded myself. Taking a shaky breath, I stepped out of the car and made my way to the restaurant doors. My heart-beat increased as my clammy palms pushed the door open. "You could just run away. The door's right behind you," Temptation whispered to me. I shook my head and carried on. I was glad to see the small restaurant was empty and, as I made my way over, Dad waved to me, drawing everyone's attention to my stiff body. The silence was deafening. No one spoke, we all just stared at each other in shock. I walked forward a little. "Hi," I said awkwardly. Dylan nodded slightly, still in shock. There was a ripple of 'Hi's and 'Hello's, then more silence. I took a deep breath and gritted my teeth. 'This is it' I thought. "I know you must have mixed feelings about seeing me here," I spoke shakily but pressed on. "A-And I know that I have no right to have brought everyone here today. I didn't even have the guts to call you myself." I looked down in shame. "But what I want...What I need to say is..." My eyes began to water as I looked up at them. "I want you to know that I am so...so sorry," I began to choke up. "I-I am so sorry and...and ashamed of what I did...of what I said..." I cleared my throat, determined to get my words out. "I know a simple apology like this is not enough to repay the damage I've done...a-and I don't know how I can ever make it up to you...But I want you t-to know that I am so sorry for what happened. A-And I-" I was cut off by Allistor hugging me.
