I stood inside the empty classroom, as I saw Lucas talking to Missy outside, he kept nervously fiddling with his fingers, as he blushed.

I felt an anger boil up as if I was jealous or something.

Ugh, Missy talking to Lucas; that can't be good.

L U C A S 

"So, Lucas, going out with anyone?" Missy asked me, bitting her lip. "Cuz I was thinking-"

"Uh...yeah, actually." I replied, sliding my fingers in my pocket.

"Who?" Missy snapped, placing her hands on her hips. My eyes nervously trailed around the room until I saw Maya Hart standing in the doorway.

"Maya." I lied, hoping she didn't see right through me, "uh, I have to go, bye."

"Lucas wait wha-"

"Hey babe." Lucas said to me, as he approached.

"Huckleberry wha-" I trailed off before Lucas cut me off by crashing his lips against mine. For about 30 seconds I didn't even notice what was happening around me.

My arms made their way around his neck as his hands rested, gently on my waist.

"Whoa, hey lovers." Riley said, causing us to awkwardly jolt back from each other.

"It's about damn time you two got together." Farkle added as he held Riley's hand.

"Yeah, I've been waiting all year for lucaya to officially happen." Zay said, before they all walked into class together.

"What's lucaya?" I asked Lucas, as I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Beats me."

Missy darted past us, glaring at me.

"Ooh, I see, you needed to show Missy you were dating me, so you didn't mean any of that, did you." I said, feeling kinda hurt in a way.

"Well, yeah at first, but then-" Lucas trailed off.

"Then what?"

"I kissed a pretty blonde that's been driving me crazy since the 8th grade." Lucas said, as a smirk appeared on his face.

"Okay, 'babe' you wanna really rub it into Missy?" I asked, pursing my lips together.

"Yeah. I guess so."

"Well okay then, care to take my hand, huckleberry?" I asked as I held out my hand for him to take.

"Gladly." Lucas said, excepting my hand.

We walked in as I gave Lucas a wink, and started giggling, which sent Missy over the edge. Her eyes glared at me, and I continued giggling as we sat down.

"Oh babe you're so funny." I said, as a smirk appeared on my face.

Missy then raised her hand, as Mr. Mathews glanced up from the papers on his desk.

"Yes, Ms. Bradford." Mr. Mathews said, standing from where he was seated.

"Uh could you maybe tell Mr. and Mrs. Friar over here to keep the PDA down to a minimum, thanks." Missy snarled, pursing her lips together, lifting an eyebrow.

"What's with the whole Lucas and Maya thing over here? Is lucaya finally happening?" Mr. Mathews exclaimed, pointing at us.

What's lucaya?

"I can't help it, I have f-feelings for the cowboy." I lied, as I bit my lip and smiled back at Lucas.

"Aww, young love." Mr. Mathews said as he let out a sigh.

"Uh, Mathews, why aren't you stopping this?" Missy asked, furrowing her eyebrows in annoyance.

"Because they're just laughing and talking, not much I can do, Ms. Bradford."

"Yeah, Bradford, 'not much the man can do' okay." I said as I scrunched my nose up at Missy.

"You don't wanna cross me, Hart." Missy threatened, squinting her eyes in annoyance.

"Oh really, you wanna go?" I asked, standing up, slamming my pencil on the desk.

"That's enough, ladies." Mr. Mathews said, causing me to sit back down in my seat.

"Whatever." I mumbled under my breath, as I slumped down in my seat, when I suddenly felt a warm hand gently rest on my shoulder and I slowly turned my head around to see Lucas's hand. Some how I was calmer than I was before.

"It's okay, Maya." He whispered in my ear kindly. This time what he said was different, as if he actually meant every word that fell out of his mouth. He quickly removed his hand, "sorry."

"No it's okay." I said, painting a smile on my face.

"Okay then." Lucas said then leaning back in his seat.

I liked Lucas?
