Are you on drugs?

Okay today is a new day and a fresh start. I woke with the fire out and Stefan starting to pack things up.

"Get up. We need to head out. You said the coordinates were somewhere around in this part of Montana. We need to hurry before the supernatural find it." Stefan barked out after seeing that I was awake.

I guess he sleep on the wrong side of the ground. I yawn and stretch my arms. I sit there for a moment and just remembered what happened last night. I started to get really red and turned away so Stefan couldn't see.

I almost kissed Stefan. Why didn't I just kiss. What am I saying! Why would  I want to kiss him. I mean maybe he is a really good kisser. No! Hazel get your stuff together.

I slapped my hands on my face and that caught Stefan's attention.

"What's up Mash?" He looked over.

  " Oh nothing! I'm just tired and needed to be woken up. See?..." I frantically said and stared at him with my eyes wide open.

He raised his eyebrows and turned back to what he was doing. Oh gosh I probably scared him. I probably looked like a freak. Wait a minute.....since when do I care? What is this boy doing to me! 

Just awkward silence went on and we got everything packed. We were I the road in ten minutes. We tried to get a ride by holding up a thumbs up. Nothing. No car. No people. Damnit!

Without a car it's going to take way longer to get there. I sighed and looked over to Stefan. He had bags under his eyes and looked like was about to fall over any second. Did he stay up and keep watch? Why didn't he wake my up for a turn? There is also the option he maybe did drugs.

"Hey Stef."
"Yeah."
"Did you stay up to keep watch or are you on drugs?"
"Yeah... No I do not do drugs. But how did you know I was keeping watch. You were sound asleep. By the way you are cute when you sleep."

I started to blush and gave him a nudge. "Well th..er ahh mm never mind. Why didn't you wake me up? You have bags under your eyes and it seems that you could fall over any second. You need some sleep."

He sighed." Well I thought you needed it. You have all this mess on your shoulders and you needed a break. I thought some sleep might help. Also with us being this close to the place I thought there might be some monsters lurking around. It's no problem really."

" We can stop if you want. I think we are head by a day." I said but we were actually behind. If we need to get there we need to get there fast but I can't have Stefan like this. He will be even slower.
"No I can't do that to you. We are so close so we can't stop." He responded.
" No Stefan you need it. I think there is a motel just up the road or at least that's what the sign said back there." I raised my voice and I stared right into his eyes. 
He rolled his eyes and mumbled a fine. We walked in silence after that until we finally spotted a motel. We signed in and payed. We got a room with one bed because that was all that we could afford.

We took our stuff inside our room and Stefan collapsed on the bed. He said he was going to get some rest. I said I was going to have a look around the town.

When I exited the motel I couldn't believe it that I didn't notice it before going into the town.

The town. I know this place. I've known this place since I was a little girl. I was raised here until the attack on my family happened. This place... This place is my hometown.
