Ch 17-

I am running at a full sprint into the hospitals front desk, with the guys.... well I don't know, I'm so focused on Carter

"I need to know what room Carter Jenkins is in!" I scream obviously out of breath.

The receptionist was my polar opposite, she looks like one of those pretty, popular, mean girls that you see on TV. She has makeup plastered on her face, and she's probably like 18 or 19

"I'm not allowed to give out that information." she says, and looks at me in disgust, she obviously doesn't like my appearance

"I need you to tell me what room he is in, RIGHT NOW!" I scream

she just rolls her eyes at me "Are you a family member?"

"No."

"Family only" she smirked

"Okay well this guy is my boyfriend!" I lie "And if you don't tell me what room he is in, I will go find him myself. Disturbing all of your patients, Screaming his name until their eardrums can't take it anymore-"

"Down the hall, to the left, third door on the right. Room 301."

I just glare at her and run down the hallway to his room. I walk in the room to find him laying in a hospital bed unconscious.

"Ma'am what are you doing" a doctor asks me as I barge into his room.

"Im Carters best friend, I came to check on-"

"Its okay doc, she's with me" I hear faintly coming out of Carter's mouth.

I smile wide, and run over to give my best friend a hug.

"Carter Jenkins! You scared me half to death! I'm so glad your okay. I don't know what I would do without you."

"Carter are you okay!?" Ryan rushes into the room with everyone else following behind him

"I'm fine guys, don't worry about me." he says with a busted lip

"Gah, when I see that bastard again I'm gonna pound him until he can't breathe. I will kill him the-" Ryan screams but is interrupted by me

"What happened?" I ask them

"Well we were coming out of the gas station with our drinks, which we left.... somewhere, but who cares, when Carter and I saw a.... farmilliar face standing outside. And dumb ass here" he says motioning towards Carter "decides to pick a fight, but he wasn't strong enough, and got pounded." Ryan explains to me

"Wait. Who was it?" I ask them

They all looked at each other like it was some secret, but Ash gives in.

"It was Griffin Cruz. " she answered

I'm speechless

***Carter's POV***

I could see anger, yet a side of fear in her eyes. She looks at me and runs out of the hospital room.

"Alex! Wait, Come here!" I scream as she runs down the hall "Shit."

"Should we?" James asks for permission, but I shake my head no.
