Ch 39-

We keep driving, until we come to a complete stop.

"Where are we?"

"Uhh..." He looks scared "Alex, I'm afraid we might be having some uh... Technical difficulties..."

"Luke!"

"Sorry! This is an old truck."

"Do you have your phone?"

"Yea, but its dead.... Do you have yours?"

"Yes your lucky." I take out my phone and unlock the screen ' 1% battery left your phone will shut off in 30 seconds' "Shit!"

"What?"

"My phones dead. Now what Luke? Were out in the middle of nowhere at night with no food, water, or a way to contact someone.!"

"Sorry, it'll get better....... Look, there's a lake right across there! Its beautiful, lets go check it out."

"Fine" I give in

We get out of the truck to walk over to the lake and he's right, it is beautiful. You can see the reflection of the moon and trees on the water

"Wow. Your lucky this lake is beautiful, cause if it wasnt I'd be really mad at you."

"Yea yea, I know. Come on, lets sit on the dock."

"Alright."

We sit down, him on my right, and take off our shoes to put our feet in the water.

He stares at me intently, I can see him out of the corner of my eye

"What are you thinking about?" I ask him, to snap him out of a trance

He waits to answer "I'm thinking about how I felt the day that I met you..."

"Really?"

"Of course."

We sit in silence

"Have you ever been skinny dipping?"

"What!" I ask him "Where did that come from?"

"Have you? Don't lie."

"Yes. I have... Have you?"

"Yea, back in my old cou— umm, town, I did, on a dare. But I was by myself. What about you?"

"Umm. The only times I did was with—"

"With Ryan?!" He asked me in anger

"No!! With Carter."

"Oh. I guess that's a little better." he jokes "We should do it."

"No!"

"Why not!? Its fun, and besides, there's no one out here. Nobody will even look at you, not that they wouldn't want to."

"Fine. you turn around, and I will. No peeking."

"Aww." he turns his head around to tease me

"Luke!"

"Sorry" he laughs "Its so hard."

I finally finish,

"Are you undressed?" I ask him

"Yea."

"Okay, now were going to close our eyes, and run and jump off the dock. Ready?"

"Ready."

"Go!" I scream, and we jump off the dock

We splash into the water, almost at the same time

His head pops out of the water, and he wipes his eyes

"Whoo. This water feels really good." he tells me

"Yea. It does"

"Alex?"

"Yea Luke?"

"Your really beautiful... Even when your eyeliner is smeared all under your eyes" he jokes

"Oh shit....." I wipe under my eyes "Whatever."

He laughs at me

"Shut up!"

He stops laughing, and stares at me, not at my body, but into my eyes...

"Luke?"

"Hmm.?"

"What are you thinking about now?"

"I am thinking about how amazing you look. Your really beautiful, don't try to cover it up, ever. A-And don't let anyone ever get you to think any different... You are just per—"

I crash my lips into his, and put my arms around him neck, and manage to wrap my legs around his waist. As he holds me up, he kisses me back hard, but soft in a way. I love how he is so balanced. He is perfect... In my eyes, anyway.

We end the kiss, and I bury my head into his chest, why am I so shy?

"♪I don't want this moment, to ever end, where everything's nothing without you♪" He starts to sing With Me by Sum 41 into my ear "I wait here forever just to, to see you smile, cause its true, I am nothing without you"

I just sit there and listen to him sing to me.

Halfway through the song, I realize we are both butt naked.

"Luke..."

"Yea babe?"

Did he just call me that? Not that its bad, it just sounds weird coming out of his mouth... I'm just used to Ryan calling me that.

"Umm. I just noticed that we are... Um you know. Kind of naked."

"Oh shit! I'm sorry."

"No its fine.... How are we gonna do this?"

"Umm, I have blankets in the back of my truck... I will go get them."

"Okay"

He starts walking out of the water, and then turns his head around towards me "No peeking" he jokes

"Shut up, and just get the blankets" I shoot back. Both of us smiling.

He walks out of the water, and heads to his truck.

I swear, he is crazy
