Ch 5

Ch 5-

I woke up that next morning and started texting Luke. I got dressed but instead of going to the park to skate, I went to hang out with Luke. We met at the gas station and bought some things i got a Mtn. Dew, a 3 musketeers and he bought seven cans of silly string. I was confused about why he bought them but i didnt ask questions. After that he took me to Mario's Pizza. We played all of the arcade games together then had our food. We talked about all kinds of things and when we were done he took my hand and told me I had to close my eyes. When he told me to open them we were at the train tracks where we met the first time. I smiled big at him and gave him a hug. He took spray paint and silly string out of his bag and handed it to me

"You ready?"

"Wait what?"

He put the paint and silly string in my hand and we went over to the train which was the same one as I started on before. We finished the tag then went over to an abandoned cop car and sprayed the silly string on it. The same cop as before started to run towards us he grabbed Luke's arm, and I panicked! I sprayed silly string in his face and he let go so we grabbed our boards and ran.

"I can't believe you sprayed him in the face!"

"I can!" I laughed "I kinda feel bad now! that's the second time we assaulted him!"

"Don't feel bad. I've done it before. He will be fine."

By the time we ended our conversation, we were at the river. We splashed water at each other and he pushed me in I grabbed the silly string can and sprayed him with it and in a sudden we were in a silly string fight! Without warning he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer towards him, he leaned down to kiss me and I didn't even try to stop him.

"Umm. Hey I've been meaning to ask you, but what is that tattoo for?"

"Umm. Its for my mom..."

"What happened to her?" I asked in curiosity.

"Umm well she died of cancer. And after that I was so lost so confused like I didn't know what was going to happen, or what I was gonna do with my life. Then one night I wandered to a church and it changed my life, I found God. And after that I turned my life back around and I got this tattoo. The cross is for Christianity the date under it is when my mother died and the date under that is the day I found God."

"So, you believe in all that god stuff?"

"Yeah... I really do.."

I just smiled a sympathetic smile and hugged him as his eyes started to water. I could feel his muscles through his shirt.

*Ring*

It was Luke's phone. He rushed to the bank to answer it. I couldn't make out what they were saying. He rushed back to the water.

"Umm. I got to go. but I can walk you home if you want me too.?"

I just nodded my head.

We reached my house, and before I went in, he kissed me. I opened the door and my mom was standing in the doorway.

"Umm hey mom..."

"Why are you so late?"

"I was just with a friend."

"What's his name?"

I smiled at her "His name is Luke and he's just a friend."

"Well I hope so. Now get to your room."

"Alright. Night"
