Ch 15

Ch 15-

"Griffin Cruz!?"  

"Yeh, who did you think-..... you didn't remember me did you?" 

"Well I've had one too many drinks. I knew I remembered you but I just couldnt come to it. And besides, its been a while since.... you know.... Oh shit...." 

"What?" 

"The guys are here... And if Carter sees you-" 

"W-wait... Carter's back!?" 

"Yes Carter's back and if he sees you with me you know whats gonna happen. So you have to go." 

"Wait... Alex can I get your number please. Its been a long time since I've talked to you and.... well I missed you." He says nervously 

"Yea, here gimme your phone." I put my number in his phone and give it back to him 

"Bye Alex.." 

"Bye Griffin." 

Oh my gosh. That was crazy. Just as Griffin leave Carter starts walking towards me. Did he see him? Oh no. 

"Hey Al." 

"Hey Cart." 

"Umm were all leaving." 

"Alright. Lets go." 

We walk out of the club and Carter and I head to my house. 

"So what did you do after Ryan pissed you off and you left?" 

"Umm. I just danced with some guys and got drinks." 

"How many have you had?" 

"Umm. like 5, 6, something like that" 

"Alex... your not gonna do this again, are you?"  

"No, Carter I'm fine. Umm I ran into Luke." 

"Who? Oh yeah that guy." 

"Yea. We talked a little." 

"That's good... I think" he says as we walk into the door 

"Yup. So go get your PJ's on and come down here, I'm really tired." 

"Okay.. And Alex?" 

"Yea" 

"Can I move my clothes and stuff into your room, you know since that's kinda where I've been staying?" 

"Umm. Sure just hurry" 

"K. Thanks" I hear as he shoots up the stairs.  

I take off my shirt and jeans to swap with a tank top and sweat pants then jump into bed, Man this has been a long day and I'm ready to get some sleep. I sat my phone down on the nightstand and Carter jumps into bed. He puts his arm around my waist and we fall asleep.

"Alex, Carter, Get up!!" I heard as I was sleeping.  

I rolled off the bed and woke up Carter. He put a T-shirt on and we walked upstairs. 

"Where were you kids last night!?" my mom asked with a scared tone in her voice 

"Mom, were not kids were young adults, and we just hung out all night. We walked around and stuff." 

"And what stuff did you do when you walked around?" she emphasized the word 'stuff' 

"We went to the gas station, skated around,and then we ordered pizza" Man I just remembered that we didn't even eat last night, Im starving 

"Okay. Well next time call me." 

"Okay, I will" I'm glad I'm such a good liar 

My mom walks up to her room and we walk into the kitchen. 

"I'm so glad your a good liar, or your mom would've cracked you." Carter whispers 

"Hah! I know, If my mom found out about the club she'd freak" I whispered back 

"Yea, so what are we gonna do today?" 

"Umm. I don't know." I feel like calling Luke, or even Griffin. Yea Griffin isn't the best idea, but who says that I make good choices? 

"Um, I don't really wanna hang with the guys today, but you should go though. They might want you there." 

"Alex, is this your way of trying to get rid of your best friend!?" 

"No Carter! I just don't wanna go. I think I'll just sit at home, I'm not feeling well anyways" I lie 

"Alright, Suit yourself." 

"Yea, well I'm gonna make some pancakes, you want any? Of course you do." 

"You know me so well." he smiles 

"Yea yea."  

I make the pancakes and when were done Carter gets dressed, grabs his board, and leaves. I go downstairs to get dressed. I text Griffin 

*Hey wanna hang out today?* 

I go to brush my teeth and he texts me back 

*Of course, when?* 

*Umm. In like 30 minutes, meet you at the gas station?* 

I finish brushing my teeth, then go take a shower 

*Sounds good, I'm on my way* 

*Alright see you there* 

And I start washing my hair

**Carter's POV**

"Hey guys? Lets go to the gas station, I'm hungry, and plus were out of drinks for the fridge." 

"Alright lets go" Ryan said 

We walked to the gas station and picked up 3 packs of beer and 3 packs of Mtn. Dew. We walked outside and I couldn't believe my eyes, so I looked at Ryan. His expression was the same as mine. 

"Griffin!" I screamed in hatred 

He looked up at me and did a double take. The second time his expression was priceless, but then it turned to anger.  

"Carter?" He asked 

"Yea. What the hell are you doing in my town!?" 

"Last time I checked, you were in Dallas." 

"That doesn't matter.. Last time I checked, you were in Jonesburough" 

"Yea, well things change. And I wasn't gone near as long as you. I didn't abandon my friends like you did." he smirked 

Abandon my friends! How can he even say that about me!? I had no choice! And im glad my mom kicked me out. One, I got to come back here, and two, she didn't support me with my decisions. How can he even speak like that!? And that was it, I lost it. I pounced on him, punching him in the face. He was on the ground, I had him. But he's way stronger than he used to be, he rolled me over onto my back and with one punch, I'm out.
