Snow was trying to understand what just happened.
"So what was with that prophecy?" Penelope asked.
The group said nothing; Annabeth for once had a faraway look in her eyes.
"Varied weapons bring light. For they are not the only ones to unite." Alec quoted from the prophecy. "Maybe all of our weapons are what that part is referring to. To bring us all together?"
Everyone turned to Nicodemus. "I did say that we were meant to be brought together."
Magnus glared at him. "So you're saying that you knew all about this prophecy all along?"
"No. I'm saying that I knew that the Four were meant to unite again."
"Okay," Harry asked, considering that for a moment, "but why?"
"Because maybe there is a war against each of our worlds," Magnus said.
"How come?" Isabelle questioned.
"How come there's another prophecy? How come we're so unlucky? How come Trump is still not burning to death?" Leo ranted, "We all have questions..."
Reyna glared, "Let's stick to the topic, okay?"
"It is possible," someone else commented.
"Sure it is," Will added.
Everyone turned to Will and Nico, who were actually taking part of the conversation. "Think about it," Nico went on. "We didn't even know about Roman and Egyptian demigods until not so long ago. What else has people been keeping from us?"
This left everyone speechless. Nico never really talked much, so of course it shocked the demigods. The whole atmosphere had changed in those few moments.
"Those runes look familiar..." One of the robed witches broke the deafening silence. Her bushy hair swaying with her as she looked from the Shadowhunters to her friends.
"They look like the ones we learned about in Ancient Runes..." Draco said; The lot agreed to exchange names for they thought they might as well, seeing their current situation.
"The bloody hell were you doing in Ancient Runes?!" Ron asked.
"I took the class, git! Unlike some people, I value my education." Draco scoffed.
"Why you-!" Ron growled.
"Ron, not now!" Ginny caught hold of her brother's arm.
"But-" Ron sounded like he was going to start an argument, yet thought better of it, "Fine."
"Would you care to explain what you mean by 'Those runes look familiar'?" Jace asked.
"Um, well, in our school, Hogwarts, we can select this subject called 'Ancient Runes', and those marks around your skins look like the ones in the book," Hermione explained, which made Magnus's eyes widen, a guilty look on his face.
"So you're saying that our marks, you learned about them at school?" Alec jumped in.
"Y-yeah..." Hermione answered, surprised by the tall guy's sudden interest.
"Huh," Jace simply commented. "But how...?"
"I know," Magnus and Nicodemus interrupted. Both looked at each other with dismay.
"Let me do the talking," Magnus said. "When Shadowhunters were just beginning to prosper, Jonathan Shadowhunter, anew and young, met Godric Gryffindor, an old and worn out man at the time. Hogwarts was more than a hundred years old then, but it still had educational gaps even with Salazar, Rowena and Helga helping him."
Magnus was now shifting his gaze back and forth between every Shadowhunter and Hogwarts Wizard when he continued, "The wizard was intrigued by the marks displayed by Jonathan. He asked about it a lot, and Jonathan, proud as he was, answered them. Fascinated, Godric persuaded the other Heads of the Houses to make 'Runes' a class in Hogwarts, but of course, you now call it 'Ancient Runes'. And unlike the Wizards, the Shadowhunters never really bothered with keeping records until a little later. So really, the Wizards of Hogwarts have copies of the forgotten runes Shadowhunters didn't know ever existed."
"Except Clary," Nicodemus muttered, looking directly to the girl with fiery red hair.
"What do you mean by 'Except Clary'?" Hazel asked.
"Well, the day when Dumbledore was appointed, we confronted him with the information about the Four. Our meeting was held at the library where Magnus smuggled an old textbook about 'Ancient Runes' out of sheer interest," Nicodemus says.
"Clary's special ability didn't necessarily come from having more Angel blood in her veins, though it did help a little," Magnus goes on.
"Truth is, she technically read the stolen textbook when she was little, so..." Nicodemus explained, giving the others time to connect the dots.
"Oooh," the diverse group realized in unison.
