"How are we supposed to know you won't lead us into a trap?" Jorge spoke into the radio.

"I'm not with The Saviors...well technically I am, but truly my allegiances lie other places. I know trust is hard to come by, but please if you trust me you won't regret it."

"You get us out of here and you tell us who you are got it?"

"Deal," he spoke back "Now exit the dock area on to the street."

The group picked up their supplies and walked out to the street leaving the burning boat to drift away and burn to a crisp. A few infectors were roaming around the narrow street. Lilith and John took out the closest ones when Jorge went on the radio and announced "Okay now what?"

"If you continue north up that street give or take about 5 miles you will end up at a storage building which was used for boat repairs and maintenance."

"How are we supposed to know if we went that far?"

"From your location a Chinese buffet rests next to a Burger King which is along this road is about 2 and a half miles away. The name of the building I'm taking about is "Gerald's Boat Shop" a rich guy who once owned it. Safe travels."

Lilith took the camera and began recording "It's July 15, 2021 at around 10:46 AM and we are all set an another destination...at first the plan was to just walk and see what would happen, but when we turned on the portable radios from the boat a sudden transmission appeared of a guy trying to communicate with us. As the voice cleared he said he would lead us to safety and to trust his word. The voice sounded familiar to me...like someone I know...or knew. Anyways I will update when we get there. Lilith out." She turned off the camera and they started walking. BB, Tiffany, and Lilith went to kill the remaining infectors that stood in their way on the street.

"You do it just like he does you know. You sound natural and so set on what you're going to say every time," Tiffany pointed out after pulling her knife out of the dead infector.

"Thanks," she responded "I know him and the rest would be proud."

She nodded and exhaled sharply "It's all going to end soon...but the legacy of those recordings will still be here. The horrors of what happened when the world ended should be kept forever as a constant reminder of how far we have come."

"I'm glad you realized this," she said with approval "I'm not even sure how far we can even go."

BB cut into the conversation "As long as you can."

"I know that its just something that's bothering me."

Tiffany said with encouragement "Don't focus on the future or it will backfire tremendously."

"After this whole thing started I knew taking those fighting classes was worth it and I felt so accomplished that I went to loot a sword and just killed a bunch of those dead fuckers. I never felt so alive doing so...its like all the anger built up through my life was released. Afterwards I decided to use the skills to protect since I can't go on a killing spree every day."

Jorge was tired of the conversation and he let his curious mind ask a question "So Lilith," he said "What even happened the day this all started...how were all 6 of you all together at once?"

"It was Zargo's birthday and we had a little gathering. Alcohol, weed, and the apocalypse...sounds like a book he would write. Anyways we heard about it over a small radio he had hooked up and when we realized what was happening he took action and knew what to do. It was his idea to make these logs obviously and you know it from there."

A small group of infectors suddenly made their way around a few cars that were parked along side the narrow road. The group sprang into action when Lilith pushed a teenager looking one against a car, attempting to stun it while she reached for her knife and stabbed the one adjacent from the other and back to the one she pushed against the car. BB kicked one against the back of an SUV and stabbed it between the eyes, breaking the glass window on the SUV simultaneously. Jorge kicked one in the middle of the street to the ground and stomped its head in causing brain matter and blood to splatter against the concrete road. Tiffany was in an arm lock with one of them while another was creeping up behind it. John quickly rushed over to aid her by stabbed the one creeping up as Tiffany almost at the same time shoving it back stabbed up the chin. The small group of infectors were quickly dropped dead. Impressed, the man came on the radio again "Very outstanding, you guys are great at coordination and timing."

Jorge ominously spoke back simply saying "Thanks," while looking around for him and turning the radio completely off.

"Have we walked half a mile already?" John said as he pointed out the locations the man over the radio said would mark half a mile.

Jorge then spoke to the group "Well, let's not waste anymore time then."

*ABOUT ANOTHER HALF MILE LATER*

BB looked up at the sign to read "Gerald's Boat Sho" as the P fell off the sign through the turmoil of the apocalypse, it was lying close by in the gutter. They all entered with weapons drawn and guards up looking at every little nick nacks on the shelves of the store area, nothing being suspicious. They moved to the back which was a large room with inside docks. Supplies and tools were spread along the walls of the massive room. There was boat lifts along the docks leading into the massive pool of water inside the room. The view from the big opening was nothing but ocean and a small portion of southern Florida as a landscape setting. A loud crash erupted behind one of the boats which was already on a lift on the opposing side. Jorge signaled John to go check it out, when they turned the corner and approached the boat there was nothing on the side. When they investigated further inside the small fishing boat there was a male and female close to each other with the male aiming a gun at John and Jorge.

"Please don't kill us," said the female softly in fear.
