Krystal's POV
School was out for the day and I was so grateful that it was. I could not take another person staring at me because I didn't dress like I normally did, which was girly. I had on a pair of sweat pants and tank top, I was to tired to do my makeup and hair, that I just didn't bother with it. I did not expect my last 2 weeks of school to go like this. I didn't know my relationship with Danny would end so early, I was going to end it the day I was leaving to North Carolina but Jessie helped me with that. Thinking of Jessie, I hadn't seen her all day but Omar and Jesus filled me in that, she had I.S.S for the next 3 days.
I was caring her things around with me all day, it just felt right as if, she were here with me. I was pitiful, I know but I could not help it. I thought it was going to work with her and me but, here I was snuggling up with her book bag like a love sick puppy. I was on my way to meet up with her in the parking lot to give her things and be on my marry way, knowing she wouldn't want anything to do with me.
As I walked down the steps I saw her come into few but, that is not all who I saw, she was with Danny and another guy. She had her back towards me so I really didn't know what was going on. My heart started to pick up speed seeing Danny here, I thought I was going to be alone with her but to my bad luck I wasn't. Both of them were looking at her with a serious expression, my mind was overloading with thoughts that they were going to hurt her or something worse.
Danny was the first to notice me and he seemed to be scared, something he never was. It was strange to see him so ridged and nervous, that it was freaking me out.
"Hey Kryz," Danny said looking to the ground, okay he's acting weird.
Jessie hadn't turned around yet but when she did, it was as if she was staring at a wall. She didn't seem to be missing me or phased by what happen yesterday, like it had never happened. My mind started wondering to why she was here with Danny, of all people, why him. He was the one that wanted to hurt her but the look he had yesterday, it seemed as if he wanted to kill her.
"Hey Jessie," I say ignoring Danny's greeting and watched from the corner of of my eye how his head dropped in defeat. Good.
"Hey," she said, she sounded so distant and it was killing me, she was shutting herself out again.
"Here's your things," I say pulling off her book bag and handing it to her with a timid smile.
"Thank," she says taking her things and threw them into her car.
We stood there in silence, I tried looking else where but eyes had a mind of their of their own. They were looking straight at her and she was staring at me but more like through me or that's what I thought.
"Kryz you look beautiful without makeup," she says making my heart jump out of my chest.
I knew my cheeks were in flames, from that simple comment but it was nice to hear her say something to me.
"Thank you," I say smiling at her and I could see a smile wanted to crake through but she was holding on strong to this tough act.
"Kryztal?" I hear Danny say my name making me flinch back on reflex.
I looked over at him terrified and I saw a pain expression on his face.
"Kryztal I don't want to hurt you," he said looking down at the ground, " I want to tell you how sorry I am, for hurting you the way I did. You didn't deserve any of it and, you were right, I was a monster," he was looking everywhere instead of me and the thing was that, I could not accept his apology.
