First Day

2 Years Later

Adam's POV

I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and looked at Scarlett sleeping next to me. She was so peaceful in her sleep.

I watched her open her eyes before she smiled at me. "Good morning beautiful," I said. "Morning handsome," She said.

"Today is Violet and Noah's first day of kindergarten," She said. "Well we better go wake them up," I said before I climbed out of bed and pulled on a pair of sweatpants and a white t-shirt.

I walked to Violet's room and sat on her bed. "Violet, angel, wake up," I said as I lightly shook her.

She rolled over and looked at me. "Hi daddy," She said. "Hey cutie. Time to get up, it's your first day of school," I said. She hopped out of bed and ran to her closet.

She came back out in a pair of white shorts and a Maroon 5 tour t-shirt.

"Is someone promoting daddy and Uncle Jesse?" I said. "Maybe," She said. "Do you need help with your hair?" I asked her. "Yes please," She said as she handed me a hair tie.

I put her lomg brown hair up into a ponytail and kissed her head. "There you go cutie," I said. "Thank you daddy," She said before she ran downstairs.

I grabbed her Little Mermaid backpack and put her school supplies into it.

I walked downstairs and saw Violet and Noah at the table eating breakfast.

I set Violet's backpack on the couch next to Noah's guitar backpack.

"Morning bud," I said as I kissed Noah's head. "Hi dad," He said.

I walked over to Scarlett and kissed her. "What time does the bus come?" I said. "10 minutes," She said.

"Dad, when I get home, can you teach me how to play the drums?" Noah asked. "Of course buddy," I said.

A few minutes later, the kids put their bowls in the sink and grabbed their backpacks.

"Have a good first day. I love you," Scar and I said to Violet and Noah as we hugged them.

"Bye," They said before they walked out the front door. Scarlett and I followed behind them and watched them get onto the bus.

"Our twins are all grown up," Scar said as she wrapped her arm around my waist. "They're only 5 babe," I said. "I know, but now they are going to be gone all day," She said.

We walked back inside and I sat on the couch before pulling her onto my lap.

"I'm not going to have anything to do all day while they're at school and you're at the studio," She said. "You'll find something to do baby," I said.

"Adam?" She said. "Yes?" I said. "What do you think about having another baby?" She asked. "You're ready for another baby?" I asked her.

"I think we're ready. I mean the twins are 5 and they'll be gone all day. I think it's time to have another kid," She said. "If you're ready, then I'm ready," I said.

"I love you Adam," She said. "I love you too Scar," I said before I kissed her and carried her upstairs to our bedroom.
