***Sorry for such the long wait, but moving is really hard work, especially with a new school and just getting internet and also having to unpack so I'll be trying to upload as often as I possibly can, but we'll see how it goes. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING, IT'S IMPORTANT!!! The next few chapters might not be the best, but they're leading up to something important so please just hang in there with me because there's going to be more action after these next few as Charlie and Lizzy run into a few problems that have to do with introducing Charlie to the Dagger Dragons and him becoming a target, which is going to test their relationship. I hope you enjoy and the story will hopefully get better. THE BURNING MASK will hopefully come out at the beginning of summer, but I've started to write some of it now, but I've decided to hold off until then so that I don't have to deal with two stories and moving into a new area. So thanks to everyone one reading and here's the next chapter!***
Ch.22
The next morning I woke up with a hangover, my head throbbing as I looked down and saw Charlie's arms wrapped tight around me. I started to close my eyes once more, but my eyes caught on my hand where a large diamond ring sat on my ring finger. The air caught in my throat as I looked at it more closely.
“This can't be real,” I muttered as I untangled myself from Charlie and sat upright, continuing to stare at the ring. Next to me Charlie began to wake up, stretching out before opening his eyes.
“What's wrong Lizzy?” he mumbled as he sat upright as well, wrapping his arms around me once more and placing a kiss on my shoulder blade. He froze when I saw the ring I was staring at. “Um...”
“Is this what I think it is?” I asked, last night having been a complete blur to me.
“I'm not entirely sure.” he got out of bed and threw some clothes on and exited the room, entering the room once more with a sheet of paper in his hand. “Yeah, it's what you think it is,” he told me nervously, handing me the paper.
My eyes widened as I took in the marriage certificate. “My brother is going to kill me.”
“My mum is going to murder me too,” Charlie said as he began to pace. “How did this even happen?” Ours eyes met as we realized what had happened. “I knew it was a bad idea to move next door to someone who is allowed to legally marry people.” He said, running his hand through his hair.
“This is crazy!” I said, on the verge of shouting as my mind tried to catch up with everything that was going on. “This wasn't supposed to happen!”
“How do you think I feel? I never even thought I would end up getting married. I've been focused on my job more than anything and I suddenly wake up married to someone!”
“I can not believe this happened,” I said, my eyes shooting down to look at the white sheet that was on the bed.
We sat on the bed just staring at each other as we tried to piece together everything that happened. “Well then Mrs. Weasley, what would you like to do about all this/” Charlie asked, a smirk growing on his face, but you could see how confused and worried he was. I couldn't help the small smile that was growing on my face.
“What makes you think I'm changing my last name, you do realize I could just keep it as Dagger.”
“Yeah, you could have, but you already signed off for Elizabeth Weasley,” he said pointing to the paper before a nervous chuckle escaped his mouth.
