***So finally, here is the next chapter. I hope you all enjoy it, it took a while for me to decide how I wanted the rest of the story as well and I wanted to finish the book "The Burning Mask" first. Thanks for waiting for so long***

Ch.27

One year and so later

“What's going on?” Charlie asked urgently as I handed him a gun.

“There's a large group heading toward here. They shouldn't have been able to get this far,” I explained. He put in the microphone as I put mine in and grabbed a few guns for myself.

“How did they then?” he asked, checking to make sure the gun was loaded.

“That's the question isn't it,” John said, entering the room and grabbing his weapons. “I'll see you two in a little bit. It's time for war,” He flung open the window and slipped out into the small alley. Dem and Sil were already in their positions, having already responded to the signal.

“Are you ready?” I asked Charlie.

“As ready as I can be.”

“Good luck,” I said, kissing him before turning and heading upstairs. My brother and Charlie had spent ages coming up with different strategies, so I was just praying that they would all be alright. I moved the window and lined up my gun, ready to fire.

Everything had gone crazy when everyone found out that You-Know-Who was really back. Everyone started to panic, but no one more than my brother. He knew that this meant that we were going to be targeted more, either to kill us all or give us one more chance to be recruited. We were just hoping that we could create a third option.

Sadly, Sirius Black hadn't made it. He was killed by Bellatrix and there were no words to describe how deeply this had hurt everyone, we had continued pushing on though. Harry had taken it the hardest and even though he pushed on and started through on his 6th year, you could tell how deeply all of this had affected him. The year was almost over, but I heard from Mrs. Weasley that he was still struggling.

Charlie had adapted to this lifestyle pretty quickly and I was actually really glad that he was. He still worked with the dragons, but with him now married, they seemed to understand why he was having to cut down on some of his hours.

I zoned in, watching for any sight of movement, firing as soon as someone that was not in our guard, came into view. Screams distracted me, causing me to slightly jump before zoning back into what was going on outside.

“What's going on out there, you guys?” I asked into the microphone, waiting for someone to reply.

“There's someone in the house, Liz!” Silvia whispered urgently into the mic. “They're death eaters here trying to see if this is our hideout and it's getting pretty bad out here.”

“Ok,” I said. I moved from my position, grabbing a handgun and making sure my wand was on me just in case I had no other choice.

I moved toward the stairs, creeping down it slowly, making sure not to make any noise. I pressed myself against the wall, glancing around the corner, my gun ready. Making sure the room was clear, I went through the other rooms, eventually making my way down to the first floor. I could hear some noise in the dining room, the sound of drawers being opening.
