"I don't have your fücking money," Calum spat, as he watched Liam Payne's jaw tighten.

Liam stepped forward and gripped the collar of Calum's simple grey t-shirt in his fist.

"And what are you going to do about it?" He asked, his tone low and steady. Calum didn't swallowed hard and didn't reply. "I said; what are you going to do about it?"

Calum still didn't say anything as he tried to keep his breathing even, and Liam was growing ever impatient by the second. The older boy gripped Calum's shirt tighter and pushed him up harshly against the wall behind him, Liam's knuckles pressing into the smooth skin of Calum's neck, right where his Adam's apple was.

"So I'm seven hundred dollars down, Calum, and it's all your fault," Liam growled. "Where the fûck do you expect me to get that kind of money from?"

"I don't have it," Calum repeated, trying his best to focus on anything other than the pain in his throat.

"Until I get that money, Calum, I can guarantee that I will make things very difficult for you and the people you care about," Liam threatened, and Calum half hoped that it was an empty threat, but he knew that Liam was know for being a man of his word. "What's your girls name again?"

"No. Leave her out of this," Calum begged, while he tried to pry Liam's harsh grip away from him, but it only seemed to tighten. "This is between me and you. It has nothing to do with her."

"I can't make any promises," Liam shrugged and smug smirk on his lips as he released the harsh grip he had on Calum. "Get me my money and we won't have a problem."

Liam stalked away back onto the street and left Calum behind in the alleyway. Calum didn't dare move for a few minutes as he waited for Liam drive away and find his next victim, rubbing over his neck with the palm of his hand in an attempt to ease the burning pain that had been left there.

Calum brushed himself down before walking back out onto the street and getting into his car. It was late and he should have gone straight home, but there were too many things playing on his mind. So instead of driving home, Calum drove in the direction of Tegan's house instead of his own. He wanted to make sure that she was okay, although the chances of Liam actually threatening her were very slim.

Fifteen minutes later, Calum pulled up outside her house, shutting the car off and pulling his keys from the ignition. He knew he shouldn't have been there, and he knew that he was no longer welcome, but that didn't seem to stop Calum as he walked up the garden path towards his ex-girlfriends front door. He pressed the button of the doorbell and turned around on the spot as he waited for the door to be answered, gazing up at the sky as he waited.

Calum heard the door open behind him and he turned around. A sigh left his lips once he was met with Luke Hemmings - of course he was there.

"What do you want?" He asked, bored of Calum's presence already.

"I just need to see Tegan," Calum said quietly, looking down at his feet. He knew it was a waste of time.

"No," Luke said simply. "She doesn't need to see you."

Calum bit his bottom lip and swallowed.
