Piero's POV
"Piero, Federico called and get said he saw a black SUV drive by about 2 hours ago. He and Benjamin were both together at the time, so we know it wasn't them-" Jay informed.
"Darren." I spat with venom. "I'm going now."
"What?! You can't go now!"
"Why not?" He must have seen the determination in my eyes because he let out a reluctant, "Alright, I'll tell the guys. I'm not letting you go alone."
"Someone has to stay here, in case they're watching us and just waiting for us to leave."
I'm coming, Dez.

Dez POV
Time was creeping along slowly and my butt was starting to get numb. I had already chewed through the duct tape out of boredom and I called out, "Hey, guys, I gotta pee!" No one answered. "I'm going to go all over the carpet and is going to smell really bad. It might even leak through the floor-" I silenced when a little girl, about three years old, peeked into the door. Yes! Little kids are easy to persuade! She was adorable with a cute pink dress and brown hair tied up in 2 ponytails. She came in holding a stuffed unicorn. "Who are you?" she asked with wide green eyes full of curiosity.
"Hi. I'm a friend. I came over for the tea party, but some meanies tied me to a chair and I gotta go potty."
"What meanies?"
"Do you know Darren?"
"Uncle Darren?"
"Yeah, him."
"But he's nice..." she said, quite confused.
"Hey, can you untie me? I won't tell uncle Darren-"
A tall man stepped in and he stopped short when he saw the little girl.
"Abbey, what are you doing in here?"
"I'm making friends, like mommy said to."
"No, not with her. Come on let's go eat some cake." He guided her out of the room and shut the door.
"No, don't go Abbey!" I called out as a last attempt. Damn. I screamed out of boredom and Mr. Ugly threw open the door.
"Why can't you just stay quiet! Someone's going to hear you!"
"Yeah, that's kinda the point..." Tied to a chair, but still sarcastic.
He punched me again on the same side of my face.
"Wow. Getting bored of your punching. You have no variety-"
He pulled a knife out of his pocket and flicked it open.
"Now we're talking!"
"Do you want me to hurt you?"
"Yeah, sure. I enjoy pain. It makes life seem real."
"There is something really wrong with you."
"You have no idea..."
He put his knife away and part of me was a little disappointed. I was so bored, I would have probably had fun. With him slicing you?! Maybe I was going crazy...

Piero's POV
I armed myself with lots of weapons before sneaking out the back door and taking the car that was out in the garage. Nobody used it anymore, so it would take them some time to figure out I was gone. Why didn't I go with the others? I didn't want them to get involved. Dez was my responsibility, not theirs. Besides, I could easily take out Darren. I parked the car a block away from his house/mansion and snuck through the trees. I scoped out the front of his house and spotted two guards, chatting near the front door. To distract them, I threw a rock through one of their car's windows, so the alarm was set off. While they ran over to the car, I zoomed to the front door. I used my supernatural strength to kick open the door and was met by a room full of guys. I must have come during a pack meeting. Great. I screamed out, "Where is she!" hoping Darren would hear, but when no one answered, but advanced toward me instead, I attacked. I pulled out my gun and shot as many guys possible before running out of bullets. I did not expect to run into this many people and didn't pack enough ammo. As they closed in on me, I punched and kicked like crazy, but there were way too many. It took 15 guys to finally tie me down, but I didn't go down easy. Obviously they fought back as well, so I was full of blood and cuts by the time they got control of me. I panted and laughed once my breathing was back to normal and I wasn't as high on adrenaline. I licked the blood off my lips and smiled at the parade of guys exiting the room. Somewhere in the scuffle, I must have dropped my glasses because they were nowhere to be seen. As I was looking around, I realized that I was in an actual room rather than a basement or warehouse. I guess Darren just has that much space. Speak of the devil. Darren walked in with his head held high and a smile on his face.
"Well, well, well. Look who decided to stop by!"
"Where's Destiny?" I asked with a serious face, not in the mood for his shit.
"Wow, someone's angry. Don't worry, she's in good hands-"
"Fuck you. Let her go. Your fight is with me. She has nothing to do with anything-"
"Oh, but she does! You see, you love her, and love is a weakness-"
"It's not her fault Antonietta was killed-"
He gave me a hard punch in the nose and I groaned.
"No, you don't get to talk about her, say her name, or even think about her. I know it was you."
I laughed. "Nah, you know it wasn't me, but you want someone to blame. You know it was your fault."
He clenched his jaw and spat, "No, you were the one she was going to meet with. You killed her and it's for her that I'm going to go through with my brilliant plan."
"You? Plan?" I laughed mockingly.
"You'll see. I even got Vico to join me."
Vico, the king of the vampires?! Now this was serious. Wolves have been enemies with the vampires for centuries, but all of a sudden they're working together? I was definitely concerned.
"Together we're going to take over Italy, then Europe, and the rest of the world. You know, it's not too late for you to join us. You and your precious Destiny will be spared-" Darren said while circling around me.
I spit blood at him and it splattered over his white shirt.
"Fine. You had a chance. It's gone. You should have just agreed. Now I'm going to have to kill all of you because you'll just get in my way. Have fun with my boys," he said while leaving and two huge guys walk in, the same bastards that were beating me up earlier. "I'm going to go give Dez a visit-"
"Don't touch her! Leave her out of this!" I screamed while pulling against the chains holding me down.
"We're going to have so much fun..."
